1. Another thought... could you use one of the cylinder power banks? They are 5v and have around 2600-3200mAh. Same trick in pistol grip, just find a good place to route the charging port.
2. I was looking at the 4.5 volts that you need to run the sound effects. You can disassemble a 9V to get 4.5V battery that has a smaller profile. Another route is using two 3V coin batteries. You could route the wiring to the magazine well or to the pistol grip. The pistol grip would be a pain as to replace it you would have to remove the grip each time. Or a rechargeable battery in the grip with the charging port being hidden under the pistol grip screw. Unscrew and recharge.
3. Wow. I am consistently impressed with your work. you are hands down one of the best builders I have seen
4. Tino, Hawaii is a wonderful place to live... the only thing that sucks is the Traffic and the increased cost of everyday items. Gotta love Amazon... mainland prices and free shipping. If you are ever out this way give me a call. I will show you around the Island. I should be here for another 18 months or so. Then Uncle Sam will find someplace else for me to work. I am hoping for Germany. Looking at your build definitely makes me want to copy it. I will do a few things different, but for the most part it will be like yours. When my kit from Dday arrives I will be very busy.....
5. I got one from APEX a while back. Plus you can get a finishing kit from Tino that has the accurate wire gauge.
6. Tino, This is truly a replica of the original and it looks better than a real sterling. The only thing you are missing is the smell of gun powder.
7. I have to concur. It's a personal preference. I like the pins. I'm assuming that some of the blisters had them and others did not. It was which ever one the prop department slapped on the blaster.
8. I have a doopy doos and they shipped it to me in the US. Should not be a problem. You should also contact D-day for his Pheonix Props kit. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28047-phoenix-props-e-11-stormtrooper-blaster-kits-a-new-hope-and-esb/
9. I can take a photo of those for you. They do look like cheese head screws. I think they are M3 or M4 cheese screws.
10. They are not cheese head screws. They are kinda like set/grub screws. They are also slotted. On my resin scope I used eyeglass screws
11. Mine came from an auto fuse. You could see the two holes through the clear plastic. I believe I bought it at Walmart. It's just a shade small but very close. You have to do a little trimming.

You can see the pins by clicking the build link in my signature. Some pics on page 13 and 14 with comparison shots to the real pins
12. Awesome work Chris. It was great watching your build.

14. Roger

Click on the FISD E-11 reference banner in my signature. Chapter 28 and 29 cover this. Tino is a true expert. He is one of the creators for the reference. Check him out. If you plan a build you should get his completion kit

http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/page-2#entry414719
15. Looks to be a great project. I just got my demilled parts and ordered a steel tube from Derrek. I should be a fun build. I will be watching this thread to see how it's done.
16. Looks like you are off to a great start.
17. Wow... this is an impressive thread Aaron.
18. I am in the same situation of being a half size 9.5. I ordered the next whole size 10 from tkboots. I'm hoping they fit because I have been on the list for six months.
19. I got mine from tshobbies. --------
