  1. Where do all the "homemakers" get their leather?
  2. If you have a "rare" size of CAboots (8 to 10 or 11) then toss them on eBay. I'm sure you'll get someone to buy them.
  3. ATA is more accurate AM is more durable. ATA = HIPS AM = ABS
  4. Any kit will fit you perfectly. Some kits come pretrimmed and others come slightly trimmed. I suggest getting an untrimmed set so you can get familiar with the material if you're going to be assembling a helmet. I'm also pretty sure you can pay the vendor a bit extra and have them trim it for you.
  5. Yeah, he's REALLY quick. Paid and shipped same day!
  6. It's all personal preference, but I think the MRCE looks horrible. Back when they were first appearing on ebay, they were around 80-100 dollars. Now they're getting a little rarer, around the 200 dollar mark, which is a little ridiculous and a bit too much for me to spend if I'm going to end up cutting it up and just practicing modding on it. My 2c.
  7. Noooooooo. Go for an ATA, TE2, PT, VT, AP, DA, CAP anything but an MRCE!
  8. Michael is your gun from the vac formed Cushman people?
  9. Man its a toss up between this and a snowtrooper now... AWESOME job.
  10. Head over to TDH, they have templates for making your own helmets out of paper/cardboard/bondo....
  11. The Hasbro and resin kits are durable, I've dropped mine and it hasn't chipped or broken. (only dropped from about 3 or 4 feet onto hardwood floor dunno about concrete... :S ) the PURE resin kits, where the entirety of the blaster is resin I might be a little more worried about. The MR blasters I hear are pretty heavy but look damn good. PVC Builds are always great looking and are pretty durable. Sci-Fire is still making blasters, they occasionally have a FS thread here but I'm pretty sure you can order directly from them. They're made of a super strong firm rubber and are great for trooping. Not sure on cost though. Hope that helps.
  12. Do you have a shim in there? Or is it just the 2 pieces that you have for closing the shins together? If its the latter, then just remove the strip that's on the inside of the shin and velcro them shut and see how that looks/feels.
  13. Go for TK boots, they're about 10 bucks cheaper and they aren't shiny. Just my preference I guess, since its closer to what was seen in the movies. They also don't have the stitching on the side.
  14. There are loops in the TKBoots image. Technically the TKboots are more accurate because they aren't glossy.
  15. I've seen some Dr. Martins in person before, they're the size of a work boot if I remember correctly...
  16. There's just something about it, I'm not entirely happy with it. I dunno. I'm gonna finish it up and sell it.
  17. Like oiftanker, I don't really like this helmet all too much. So look for a FS thread in the near future...
  18. Don't mean to derail your thread AGAIN, but this was under the related and I thought it was pretty funny. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2n1nc_han-solo-cops-a-feel
  19. AM or RT mod. AM is just an up sized FX. You can reach RT mod at rt-mod.com
