  1. What you get with their lines and where I eventually trimmed them to. Hope that helps. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. I would think that the 1" would be okay. Just cut them so they are like 2" in length so you can double them up for the security factor. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. I have the same kit and yeah I noticed that as well with the cut lines. I followed them the best I could. Then again in the end I trimmed them even smaller. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. So I got my bin, but not sure where to begin customizing, pumping or weathering it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. I just made my own, but yeah I hear the three best are Darman, Veedox (?) and Geeky Pink. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. No major mistakes for me, but yeah mine is nowhere near this level of detail. Still working on it though. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. Also a tip I got during my build and one I seen reflected in many was that a 5mm or less return edge is ideal. Just an idea, but I found the less I had the more comfortable it was. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. The main body parts are easy as they rarely need modifying for fitting. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. Nylon webbing and snap plates are a good alternative to the brackets. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks Brian, yeah I wasn't sure how much to add to it, but it seems I got it just right or close enough. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. My understanding is submersion is best. I think 30 seconds or so if I remember correctly. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. Well hopefully this will carry me into centurion land. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. So I found that a bit of silver and grey made a decent enough aluminium finish I decided to dry brush it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. Welcome and congrats on your BBB day! So now that you have it trimmed out, is it a rough trim or have you already done test fittings? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. This idea of starting clean and gradually getting dirtier as time goes on is my plan. TK to HWT and then full on Sandy. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. Just now got to checking my thighs since adjusting the strapping much better I think. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  17. Yay for BBB day! That's an awesome idea for the neck seal. Now popping popcorn. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for the clarification Glen. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. So going Sandy does leave bits off of the kit, but it also means getting a back pack, pouches, pouldron and depending on how far you want to go you may also need a DLT-19. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  20. So got the black on. Still deciding on how to do the silver/aluminium parts. Rattle can of silver rustoleum or dry brush some silver acrylic. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  21. So I got the hammered coat on and it is looking much better. It hides some of the small imperfections, but sort of accents some of the bigger ones. However this is okay by me as there is always some of those especially when it isn't new. Straightened out the counter and that is looking pretty good. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  22. Got my fan system in and a power supply. Did a test run on the life span of the battery so graciously delivered to my by my boss. Well the results were from a full charge I got about four hours with about 15% left over and no heat build up little thing is a beast. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. So all prepped for for the hammered coat tomorrow. Then the gloss finish on the grip. Got the satin coat down on the counter, scope and rail. I also decided to go ahead repaint the rubies I was working on for them young future recruits at events. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah I'm 5'10" and around 170-ish. I have the same issue as you. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. Go in small increments and not all at once. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
