Good luck with your build. Lots of great resources right here which the folks have shared above. Seems like your armour might have been stored for a while - it’s getting that Anovos yellowing in spots. Nothing a peroxide treatment won’t solve [emoji846] If you’re intending to later apply for Level 3 Centurion your helmet may not pass due to the seperate vocoder - just a FYI and if you’re so inclined [emoji846] I struggle with the mortise-pestle snap tools, so I bought a Prym Vario Tool which has the capability for a fitting for snaps. https://www.amazon.com/Prym-Vario-Pliers-79-5-Purple/dp/B000P1ASDI/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=1GR8GCK0IP6FU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.b9-8SWYw19u3qPkwBq7Pr5HLk6_8rfCKKdIKXMkdN5qD3Opp35EDrHzcvgUlLxygmJsAEMHNCybOAsmM8nU70iC51MVZAP-xBnZiiKBuQezMTcrHA43e9r_mtFdO6GJEFbdqSPHy1fEXzuKEd14p_-yXtK-1oQ5xYdoO3v0eNIGBYcU2QPMpcAVQYtJHuQzG0aDuwEKYtHDKnRlNesjGKw.yOcmpAg6exBE5z4DMsS0jPT1h9_gqrDodot5Wm-lmpI&dib_tag=se&keywords=prym+vario+pliers&qid=1713053831&sprefix=prym+vario+%2Caps%2C694&sr=8-2 Prym include the fitting with their snaps. I used the camping snaps, but they’re very similar to the heavy duty anorak snaps. https://www.amazon.com/Prym-390332-Non-sew-Fasteners-Goldfarbig/dp/B00E4IWQVU/ref=mp_s_a_1_33?crid=T5S60F481KDR&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.J6X4bTwRAc2hG33RB7xecoS1u8liB1uTj5E8_2W_lFd7pO8AQi8QBNmSAeEjQhhefxgjPxgKuLIyC6Ah4qULbTzu_SYJmZNjnmL_ldFl8O96eaPvwnbROwTUi9mg8nJV9JHtBTlxFfd_uI0ZfEPCKNzYIDn0LImeaqsfGCuLt3jczY4m1J7qFNmZ7SzRFwwLjqzlDVjKVsPSR9zT190SOA.BJXJD6sXtQyb3LrOLPsd8Xf-GxjmixuHV5SFJcDvBzU&dib_tag=se&keywords=prym%2Bsnaps&qid=1713054157&sprefix=prym%2Bsnaps%2Caps%2C678&sr=8-33&th=1&psc=1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It’s really a personal preference. I’m a fan of light to medium weathering. Your crate (which looks great btw) will also naturally weather over time as you drag it in and out your car, to events, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If you head over to OddViking’s YouTube channel, he’s got a series covering these builds. He answers most of your questions there - and more [emoji4]
  4. I think the belt sander was the only thing I bought specifically for my TK build. Reflecting though, I’d have bought a decent knife sooner. I used a couple of cheap knives initially before finding the perfect Stanley BigMax knife for me. The other thing is people talk about not enough clamps, but you can never have enough rare earth magnets either. Apart from that the only things one can’t buy: time and patience. 5. Congrats! Awesome build, and a fantastic addition to FISDs CRLs [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. G’day Ian I’ve just replied to your post over in Knightfall, but good to see you here! Looks like you’ve already been given a good few starting links. Most of your parts will come from OS, however your under suit and building supplies can be sourced locally. Btw, I’m the FISD attaché to Knightfall, so please do reach out if I can be of help too [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Perhaps a controversial topic, but I’d love to see more garrisons spending time auditing their members for costume quality and, dare I say it, ownership too… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They can have their moment, in my state TKs get more high fives and cuddles than the NotVaders, and that’s all that matters [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I use compression gear from Aldi and Kmart. Works just fine [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Nice to see you back at this build Dylan! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Very sad news to wake up to. RIP Dan. Condolences to the family. Buckets off. Rudi Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Good to have you still with us, mate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I don’t wear my current glasses with my TK helmet, however my previous pair had a “sports frame”. They were a narrower frame, with the arms quite close/tight. I could wear those quite comfortably under a TK bucket, as well as a fencing mask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
