  1. Hey Brian, welcome fellow trooper! Your never too old to be a stormtrooper. I myself am in my mid forties and I'm sure that's average for around here. And don't shy away from EIB because you didn't build it yourself. It you think it's up to snuff, go for it! Not everyone builds everything themselves. Many commission things they can't make themselves. We all help each other. Troopers helping Troopers. Good luck and happy trooping!
  2. They look a little low. Just a little. It's referenced that they're a pencil width away from side of face. If you ask me leave them and only move if Sly or Tony recommend in your EIB application. Good luck!
  3. Good luck Emma! You've got a nice kit coming.
  4. Mine rides in the passenger seat. Belted of course for safety.
  5. Hey Aaron! Glad to troop with you on your first troop. I didn't know that was recasterofthings. We'll get you fixed up trooper.
  6. Great job and pictures! I think Alec was a little smitten. Megyn Kelly what a fox!
  7. Congratulations Michael! Nice looking pack you got there.
  8. Definitely recommend padding the inside it also helps hold pack to backplate. Are you drybrushing paint on? I used aluminum model paint and built up in layers. Like around knob edges and corners where it would get scuffed. I used the cheapest stencil brush they had and worked great. I think it was 1 1/2" diameter.
  9. They look great Allan! If I knew we could post what we did I would have shown the tracer lights I have and DVD player in my radio. Pack is looking sweet brother.
  10. Happy Birthday Steve! Have a piece of cake or a shot for me. Or both, it's your Birthday.
  11. Yes any kit should work. But they are built totally different. A few things it's overlap not butt joint. Ab button plate flipped like ROTJ. No bicep strap. Extra rivets on belt. And a bunch more. Check out the CRL and study up the differences between it and the reg. TK. Aim for Centurion and good luck.
  12. Plus keep a check on coverstrips cause sometimes they creap out of position especially with squeeze clamps.
  13. I used about 50- 1/2" rare earth magnets. Very strong but fragile. I wrapped blue painters tape around them leaving a tail of tape to help separate them and to not scratch armor.
  14. Make sure you get a bunch of magnets for the coverstrips. Then you can glue a few pcs at a time.
  15. There you go. That will take your mind off your bad back. Good luck with your build!
