  1. Thanks, Steven! Anything I can do to help you out, just let me know! What armor did you go with?
  2. I think you find that any sort of voice amplifying system will be a great help, Bradley. The bucket muffles your voice, and makes it a bit difficult to be understood, especially in louder areas. I just ordered the hovi-mic tip speaker/amp system from ukswrath to replace the one I bought online from a different vendor, (too much feedback). Personally I prefer the type that are contained completely within the helmet, and no wires to deal with.
  3. Hi Carlos, look at the post called TK boots by IB in the Ongoing items for sale thread.. lots of pics there!
  4. Bicep straps lowered For some strange reason in the photo it looks uneven, but is actually not..
  5. Here is the updated photo you requested, and THANKS!!!!! (You were right, 30 seconds)!
  6. Welcome to the FISD, Bradley! I can help with a few of the questions, but the ones concerning which armor will fit best I will leave to the experts on here. First, the armor is normally white ABS or PVC plastic, so no need for painting.... There are some areas that will require paint, though, like the buttons on the ab plate, and small sections of the helmet, and since you can paint, you should have this nailed! It looks as if you have been reviewing the "Getting started...." section, which is the best place to start your TK journey. Lots and lots of information on here, like different armor makers, and who to avoid, ( like anything on ebay). Just remember that sometimes the kit can take a while, ("Big Brown Box day"), so in the mean time I would suggest getting all your supplies together, and maybe ordering and then working on your blaster to help the time go by quicker. Don't forget to check out the EIB and Centurion requirements when you get the chance. Much to learn! Don't be shy about asking questions, and I wish you the best of luck!
  7. Hi Walt! I had a lot of trouble posting pics as well, but ukswrath (Tony) gave me the heads-up on how to do it.. First, I had to download Google Chrome. Then, I downloaded my pics to Photobucket, and copied and then pasted them to the forum. I have to sign in to the FISD using Google Chrome to do this, though, but it is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. If you need any further details, just PM me, and I can help you out. Hope this helps!
  8. Unfortunately no, Ty, (although at that price you'd think so)! It says it is "removable", but so far it has held on like a champ, even in our Florida heat and humidity. It is like 2 part epoxy, though, meaning once you expose it to air, you can't re-seal it, although it does have quite a long working time. The only downside is that each packet contains a different color, (though not marked which one is inside). Not really a big deal, as it doesn't show on the outside, (and who the heck looks that far inside your bucket anyway), but being a bit OCD I just had to paint it black nonetheless. Hope this helps, and looking forward to trooping with ya' again!
  9. I found it by accident, actually. Unfortunately, it's not the least expensive method, (like 11 bucks for 4 single use packets), but I found it to be incredibly easy to use.
  10. I agree, James! I am more than pleased with my choice to go with Imperial boots. Fast shipping, great price, and awesome customer service.
  11. Looking really nice, Tony... great attention to detail!!
  12. Now THATS a big box of Stormtroopery Goodness!
  13. Good eye, and thanks, Scott! Screws have been replaced and painted. Unfortunately, Photobucket will not let me change the spelling now that it's done, so there is nothing lest to do but leave it as it is.
  14. Awesome... Simply awesome, Dan. You should be proud of this build, and I think you have it nailed!
  15. Congrats on receiving your BBB, Kirk... Now the FUN begins!!! I had a pretty good experience with AM 2.0 armor... I liked it because for the most part, it is "pre-trimmed" to a degree, although I did have to cut it down to my particular size. If you will be shooting for Centurion, the chest plate and will have to be replaced, (not that expensive, actually), but will get you to EIB, and the TD plate is a bit narrow. The back plate has been upgraded and is now acceptable. Good to hear you have local Garrison members to help you out!! Also, if you haven't already, be sure to read RogueTrooper's HOW TO Assemble AM armor shins. I almost missed this tutorial, and made a huge mistake. Best of luck on your build, and I look forward to watching your thread!
  16. Name: Joseph Pedigo Forum name: justjoseph63 Garrison: Florida (Makaze squad) ID: TK 10963 Armor: AM 2.0 / ATA * Helmet: AM 2.0 Blaster: Doopydoos full resin mod Ht: 5' 10 Wt: 155 Boots: Imperial boots Canvas belt: Imperial issue Hand plates: Home-made latex Neck seal: Darman Holster: Gazmosis * AM 2.0 chest plate, back plate, ab, and kidney were replaced with ATA. Kidney and ab were replaced due to rivets being in the wrong position, and back was replaced as it would not fit with new ATA kidney. TD plate (too narrow) was replaced with wider TM plate. Also, my apologies for the lame "action shot". Thank you for your consideration. Side note: I noticed my bicep elastic is too high, and keeps slipping upward. I will remedy that today Update: DONE, (pic added in last post). TD screws updated to flat head (see photo in 2nd post).
  17. Some Novus polish and ASB paste should be able to fix this up just dandy! (Just kidding, of course)... Gotta say WOW!! Awesome job, and best of luck on your submission!
  18. They may have to change the hand guards as well, Charles, as ESB uses the clam shell type. Hopefully you can get this sorted out, and we will have a few more in the HWT ranks!!! (I know of a great build thread for the packs),
  19. I say GO FOR IT, Chris! There are many people here more than willing to help you out with whatever you need to get to EIB and Centurion. Yes, it will take some extra work, but it is something you will be glad you did! All the best!
  20. I'll let you in on a little trick, Carlos... If you extend the handle out, (though not completely), the small storage box that comes inside fits perfectly into it. That way, you can have total access to both at the same time. One other thing... You probably won't have to lock your bin most of the time, especially if you are in a secure changing area with other 501st members. I have only felt the need to do this once, and what I did was to buy a small "emergency key holder", and Velcroed it into my helmet to hold the key. Easy access!
  21. Carlos, if you go to www.imperialboots.com, he has lots of photos and info.!
  22. Hi Gonzalo! I agree with Josh.. Francois, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with, but being in a different time zone might take a bit longer. He usually gets them to you in about 10 days or so.
  23. Ahhhh.... The old "Hurry up and wait"... where days can seem like months. Don't worry, it'll be there faster than you think! Stormtroopery Goodness... I may have to steal (or at least borrow) that one! Looking forward to your build thread!!
