  1. Nice looking armor, Chris! I think you pretty much have this nailed, but would like to weigh in with my humble 2 cents worth... I would suggest that you raise your left thigh up a bit to match the right. Also, I noticed that your right (sniper) knee plate seems to drop behind your thigh. I had the same exact problem, but what I did was to put a piece of 1 inch thick foam strip behind the knee, and it solved two problems... it doesn't twist, and keeps it in front of the thigh. Also, if you are going for Centurion, (which I suggest), you will have to remove the white paint from your cod piece rivet. Best of luck to ya'!
  2. If you mean the drop boxes, the depth is 10mm.
  3. Hi Omar! Can I ask where you got this helmet? There are quite a few issues with it, unfortunately, and hopefully you can return it.
  4. Looks great so far, Brian, and pictures are spot on... clear and concise! If I could make one suggestion, it would be to break down and pick up a dremel, or any brand of rotary type tool. You will end up needing this a lot more than you think! There are a ton of attachments that I promise will make your life so very much easier, like drill bits, sanding drums, etc., and you don't have to spend a small fortune. Plus, you can utilize it for your TK armor! Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching the rest of your build! P.S. Nice job on the trimming!
  5. Luis, have you tried looking in the "Getting Started..." section? There is a great list of vetted vendors who make armor that is approvable by the 501st. A lot of it will depend on your size, as some are designed for a better fit for larger/taller/shorter troopers. It also depends on how much you want to spend! Some start around the $600.00 range, and others can reach well over $1500.00 The key to your whole TK build comes down to one thing, which is research, and lots of it! There are countless topics and threads here to help you out, and always knowledgeable folks on here to answer any questions you might have. Looking forward to your build thread, and best of luck on your TK journey!!
  6. BLASTECH- When you've absolutely, positively got to kill every moisture farmer in the room. Accept no substitutes.
  7. Got the cape from ebay, and like Bone said, it was "pleather". Only weighed about 4 pounds. Something else I was thinking about... Perhaps you could cut out some small fin shapes and attach them to your forearms, like the ones that came on my gauntlets, (see pic).
  8. GREAT job, Markus, and welcome to the ranks, sir!!
  9. You will need to use Photobucket, or another hosting site to post pics, Richard. I did a full latex (32 pounds) Batman for a Halloween cruise with some friends several years ago.. 8 months and $1700. to build, and I wore it for 2 hours. Lost 9 pounds. Wife made me put it on ebay the day we got back. You might want to think about painting the armor black, like a Shadow trooper, and attach some "bat ears" to the bucket. Can't wait to see pics of this!!!!
  10. The thing I like best about my system from Tony (ukswrath) is that everything is contained in my bucket, and the speakers are a lot louder than you would think! Plus, thanks to the large on/off/volume switch, I can adjust it without taking off my helmet... BONUS!
  11. Hi Martin! You will need to get your initial armor approval through your local Garrison, and receive your official 501st TK number first. After that, go to the Advanced Tactics section, and you can apply there. Hope this helps, and all the best on your application!
  12. Hola! Does anyone know of a good source to buy the ribbing and sight for a T-21? I just purchased one to upgrade my HWT, but it is missing these pieces. Any and all information would be really appreciated. Thanks!!!! Update: I just read Pandatroopers' tutorial, and am going to use that to make the needed parts... Unless someone knows of a source of a pre-built sight. Thanks!
  13. It would probably be wise to check US for both menus, Tomas. I can't see where it would hurt, and better to be safe than sorry! Doopydoos makes a GREAT resin kit, (I own one), but... just be prepared to wait once you order it. Mine took 6 weeks to arrive, which gave me time to research some of the fantastic builds on here, and get all my supplies in order.
  14. Congratulations, sir, on a well deserved award... Next stop, Centurion!!!!
  15. Lenses can be flat for initial approval, but must be the bubble type for EIB and above..
  16. A lot of things depend on which build you are going for, Richard, as there are quite a few differences in Hero and Stunt.. The AM 2.0 kit comes with 4 bump ear guards, but if you are going for Hero, there are suppliers that you can get the 3 bump type. To see all the various differences in the two, (holster, # of teeth, lens type, etc.) double check the CRLs. Hope this helps!
  17. REALLY nice build, Todd! I am assuming that you will be shooting for Centurion, (and you should). You may want to change the rivets on your TD for black flat-head screws, and it looks like your belt is off center by a tad. I think you pretty much have this nailed, though, and I like all the extra work on the blaster! All the best!
  18. My understanding is that the Comlink and grappling hook/box were used by Luke (remember the scene where he and Leia used it), the "Hero". I don't believe there were any other TKs that wore it. (Kinda makes me wonder where he got it from). These props are worn in instead of a Thermal detonator
  19. Looking great, Chris! I also have a C1, (I just like building things), and have worn it a few times to non-canon events, as I am ANH Stunt, and this is only approved for Hero. I have seen Hero builds that attach it directly to the belt with a snap, but it's gotta be difficult to get it on and off considering the limited sight options with a bucket on! I chose to attach a clip to it, and it slides on easily. If you are going for Hero, I would suggest working up a plan on your 3-D printer for a grappling hook, another approved accessory for Hero. I made one from scratch, (like I said, I just like to build things), but sold it to a fellow TK. Since there is no-one making these, you could probably sell a few on here as well! I can PM you pics if you like... Also, the original C1 is a bit wider toward the top.... something to think about... All the best, and keep up the great work!!
  20. Thanks, Tony, and I appreciate your help in getting here! (Nice pics, eh)? Installing your hovi-tip mic system tomorrow... can't wait!
  21. Joseph Pedigo 10963 Centurion Letter Thank you!!!
  22. Thank you SO much, Steve! You have gone above and beyond the call of duty on this one with all the help and answers to all my odd questions. I will get those scope screws taken care of this afternoon... Next up, HWT Centurion!
  23. Tack, Sir, precis van jag behovde!
  24. Hola! I have my FISD shirt ordered, and have a few questions when it comes to the rocker patches... 1. What/where is the correct placement on the shirt? 2. When (I have my application in) I reach Centurion, does it replace or go with my EIB rocker? 3. I have a double EIB now, ANH Stunt and HWT, what would I do in this case? (Or would it just be ostentatious to wear both)? Side note: I will be applying for HWT Centurion once Gazmosis OK's me for ANH Centurion. Then what? Many thanks for any and all help/opinions!!!
