  1. Joseph, SUGRU is amazing! I used it for my frown mesh and it worked great. I actually left the single lens like it was since I ran out. I bought it from Amazon in a 3 pack for like $13. Thanks again for the tip! http://www.amazon.com/Sugru-Self-Setting-Rubber-Black/dp/B00KX6LTYM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1435870689&sr=8-3&keywords=sugru
  2. Joseph, I got some of this and WOW! I haven't used it on the lenses yet but totally solved my mesh problem. That stuff is awesome! Thanks for the idea!
  3. Ok this is probably a stupid question but how do you leave gaps with the ANH stunt lenses flat against the sockets??
  4. Thanks for the ideas guys! And thanks for the info about ventilation. I would have never thought of that.
  5. I have searched and searched and I see quite a few guys with separate lenses in their lids. What I can't figure out is how are they attached to inside of the eyes? I am talking about the flat ANH stunt lenses here. I have seen what appears to be plastic rivets but what are you riveting the lens to or attaching the rivet to? Or, how is the lens glued to such a thin lip on the inside of the eyes without spilling over to the other side of the eyes? I have seen foam or padding as a cushion on the inside of these but again, how are they glued keeping the lenses in place? I realize it's not accurate but it looks very tidy and seems to open up more room. Ideas? As always, thanks so much! I'll hang up and listen.
  6. OMG thank you for that distinction! Will try some of these things and let you know if I have any further issues. I was reading about plasti-dipping last night and a little hesitant to jump in head first yet lol. Thanks guys!
  7. Great question, it does look like E-6000 and there is some weaved tape residue too. Sorry not much more info. It was the glue from the maker. Not glue I used.
  8. Hey guys, I am modifying the fit of my bucket but there is a lot of glue residue from the original foam over the screws. Is Goo Gone ok for this or will that injure the plastic? Is there something better and safer? Thanks! ----------
  9. In the states I am having trouble finding rubber gloves that are size SMALL. I have small hands and all I can find are the large and XL's. It's cumbersome at best. The flight gloves fit very well but I see your points.
  10. My questions is what glue do you use for LATEX hand guards on Nomex? Does CA not leak through? If you use velcro, how do you attach it to the Nomex? Industrial strength alone doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks!
  11. Excellent guys! That's what I needed to know. Is the 1/4" usually long enough or go bigger?
  12. Hey guys thanks for taking a second to help. I'm a total noob and just starting out. Anyway, my questions revolve around belt conversion. I got a plastic ammo belt that came with an SDS kit. I am converting over to a canvas belt but need some advise. I removed the front ammo part from the plastic belt and I am having trouble getting the canvas attached. This is probably so simple. Basically my first rivets were to short (3/16 x 1/4) and pulled through the canvas. I added washers but its a VERY tight fit (see pictures). Then I got longer rivets but they are way too long and don't seat well. Any better ideas? I am using pop rivets. Are split rivets better? Should I even be using rivets? Thanks in advance! ----------
  13. Jason, this is the first pic (same in profile) after putting it on. I'm 5'6" so it needs some adjustments. Any thoughts on the fit wouold be much appreciated. I will post more pics later with more of the front pieces. --------------
  14. Jonathan, any idea on time in boiling water? Is that a quick in/out kind of thing like seconds in boiling water? I am mainly worried about how the chest fits honestly. The front of the hemet is fine. Thanks again!
