  1. if your arms are long they look this way.. if your arms are short the bicep sits inside the bell.
  2. I just read the posts in this thread and I think it's funny. I sold my AP armor and I am going anovos! hahahahah! second tier is still like stealing a kit.
  3. you people are really funny!!! I have to laugh at you.... HAHAHAHAAHAAA I have built over 50 tk's and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on this buggar! ordered 1, and will have my dual EIB and a centurion build soon.
  4. should be simple enough to use a plastic for sale sign and open the inside of the arm and add some distance.
  5. There is a subtle difference between the AP ears and the Gino ears... lot's of little things are different in the cap n back on walt's lids compared to the AP cap. The faceplates are very subtle difference.
  6. I usually tie them on with rope to keep them flush and tight.
  7. The ROTJ version of armor is assembled by joining the parts in an overlap fashion much different than the basic ANH style of butt joining the parts. Overlaps at all joins on arms and legs one piece kidney and butt plate. U shaped white trim on torso parts 5 button panel on abdomen instead of 4 Different Thermal Detonator design That is the basic rundown for the TKC
  8. keep us posted... we'll be glad to make comments on how you can make your kit better.
  9. do you have a helmet design to share?
  10. we welcome you here.. and look forward to your progress.
  11. this thread is just fine. femtrooper is all good on a casual level.
  12. Article IV: MembershipThe 501st Legion is an inclusive, equal-opportunity, non-discriminatory club. Membership is open to persons 18 years or older who own a costume that meets with the standards of accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction as required by the Legion. This pretty much sums up our mission. The fem trooper costume has been around for a long time but has never been officially entered into cannon. the costume is basically a fan based non legion costume that has a place in modern culture. we like it just fine for casual events and convention events... Unless a comic book makes this cannon... I don't see a problem with it as it stands. we;ve just kinda gotten over it..
  13. all inclusive means we have a place for this armor too... most of the women here wear the legacy armor, or the regular TK... femtrooper armor is still out there... but not really 501st approved... more of a novelty outside of the cannon designs.. we in the legion are here not just for costumes... we're here to represent the actual elements of the STAR WARS universe.
  14. we have kinda gotten over the whole sexy trooper thing around here... jus sayin'
  15. I have a DVH kit I can get to him! ROFL I am going to retire my TK's and keep my TX TI RP. very soon I'm getting the New TK in a larger size. and going dual TK with it. call it an upgrade.
  16. Keith's are the best nect to sskinky - mark's tips... the accurate ones are made from plastic not aluminum.
  17. I actually don't like them.. the are not white on the inside... and the inside behind the screen is filled. "what the?" get a pair of keith's or mark's... you won't be getting a bad product that way. mike is a great guy but his tips only look good at a glance
  18. This is the multi-part helmet. if you are going to make molds of this, you're using the wrong kind of helmet to make the original configuration on size, shape and parts used. The Efx is basically the MR version molds just the ownership of the licensing changed. if you're going to make a bad replica of a stormtrooper then you can simply make molds from the outside of that. you're not going to get any better chance of making a mold from the parts used in the MRCE/EFX version. The version of helmet you have is a re-designed model that was 3d scanned and completely alterd. EVERY aspect of the design I suggest that if you're going to mold the helmet you should mold it first, then break up your components in a second stage. as the EFX stands it has many parts. FACEPLATE: The efx faceplate has distinct cheek sectons on each side. The eye lenses and their spacers and screw mount locations are all non-cannon, The glued in Tusks or 'Hovie-Tips" and Teeth sectons are the incorrect shape in spacing and overall shape. DOME: The top of the helmet is made up of 5 distinct separate parts, in addition The Brow rubber trim is the incorrect material and dimensions. REAR CAP section: Separate from the upper portion of the dome section, clips into the faceplate on each side. EARS: The ears are a multi-part unit with separate ear caps All connections are glued, screwed and not intended for disassembly due to the glue locations on the ears and placement of the screws. To make a carbon fibre helmet you would be better to get a helmet from WALT here on the boards and use those parts as a good basis for a ONE off.. I have photos of the inside of an MRCE that I could post. PM me for those.
  19. I know a little about how you feel, I was involved in a car accident 2 days before celebration and was forced not only to miss the event I've been waiting a year to attend. I lost my car, and am in major financial and health problems. selling most of my gear to attempt to recover. Steve- you've been a major player here at the FISD. and your guidance is invaluable! You have a far better chance than I do for recovery! Best to you!
  20. if this is based upon the injection molded multipart helmet there are far more than just 3 parts. can you show a photo of the outside and inside? it will help out.
  21. With the OT TK being released, at one price point, and with the TFA armor being released near the same time I think there has been some confusion on price points!
  22. WELL DONE! Open up a section for the TFA armor already!!! wills ya!
