I was supposed to do my first unofficial trooping this morning, but instead I did my first OFFICIAL trooping !!! :-) I got approved this morning at 3:35 AM. TK-42178 reporting for duty ! I suspect that our GML was a bit drunk after their Christmas party and, like an ugly lady, I was prettier after a couple of drinks, so the approval was very easy at the end of the night ;-)

It's true that there's a lot of space and it would be fantastic, but it's surely very difficult to access it while wearing armor... But you can ask someone to access it for you. I think I'll do something under the chest, I have to think about it. My wallet is very thin and I only have 3 keys. Don't need a lot of space. Thanks for your comments !

I'll do my first real trooping this weekend, and I'm wondering ... There's no way I'll leave my wallet somewhere, so I want to keep it with me. No pocket on the undersuite, unfortunately ... My keys it's not that important, but I'm curious where I could put them. Maybe a small pouch around the neck ? But I think it will be possible to glue a small pouch under the chest, there's a bit of space there. What do you do for you wallet ?

I took some pictures. I thought they would be better, it's too dark ... I don,t have a good camera and I took a chance when someone with a good one showed up at home, but it was too dark outside to take pictures with good light. Do you think it's sufficient for basic approbation ?

You can also add an elastic that goes under your feet and attached inside the calves. You feet will help to lower the calves.

Even if you are a bit shorter the calves will be a problem with the boots :-) you must use some Velcro on the boots and in the calves to stop them to move.

You always remember your first time ;-) you look good ! But yes, you can trim your legs, and maybe a bit your biceps or your shoulders. You can try to put some padding on the bottom exterior side of your thigh so it will looks more "straight" with your shins. And you should align your stripes on the legs (your thigh seems to be too much on the inside, not sure how to say it).

Congrats ! I think the thigh were indeed too high, but it should not be a reason to refuse the approbation since it can be easily adjusted and not that important, it was not like there was a problem with the build. It should have been only a comment along with the approbation.

I began painting my boots :-) I stripped the black dye on the boots with deglazer, but since I'm stupid and didn't buy 2 bottles I finished with acetone, following a hint from Eric (Tolo). Here is the result after 1 layer : After the second layer : I used a leather spray dye. It is far from covering completely after 2 shots, but it seems to go well. I decided to not cover the elastics and see how it goes.

The thigh stripe must be directly on the font, so as Scott said almost 90 degrees to the left (your left) for the thigh and 90 degrees to the right for the thigh ammo. Your ab plate must be a bit low, the chest is supposed to overlaps over the ab. And try to get your shoulder bells higher, almost under the strap chest-back. Is it possible you're very tall ? It's a great feeling putting the pieces together during the building phase
