  1. Hey Chris welcome to the FISD. Great to see another FOTK joining the family.
  2. Your armor looks awesome. Good luck with your application trooper
  3. If you're just now seeing cracks you're doing good. Most of the fiberglass helmets were delivered cracked. Not until Anovos learned how to ship items more securely did they arrive undamaged. I was one of the lucky few with an undamaged helmet also. That said, due to a mannequin falling over I now have a couple cracks. Simply put, traditional fiberglass repair will fix the cracks however, it involves some elbow work and a helmet repaint. I personally said scratch that and placed mine on the mantel and now use their ABS version. Good luck whichever way route you decide to go.
  4. Hopefully you'll be able to see them being used and not on the cutting room floor lol
  5. For clarification when you received the armor the yoke (shoulder) return edge was missing?
  6. That's changing, so might as well make it accurate.
  7. Vent's (aka tube stripes) however are required to be hallow.
  8. Worst case scenario you can give them a hot water bath.
  9. If they fit the helmet. Fan sculpt helmets can change dramatically. Worth a shot I guess, I have a KB helmet, I buffed the lens due to some blemishes, all and all not too bad considering.
  10. Perfect thanks for the clarification and info. Keep up the good work
  11. Here's the specs on the TD used in the movie. So long as yours is remotely close you shouldn't have any issues with approvals.
  12. Yea, cut the edges square and you should be good
  13. Stencil, not sure if someone has a printable, if someone does maybe they can answer that question. Until then you can but the stencil on Trooperbay.com. Here's my old ATA build, about half way down has specs on the TD if you're interested.
  14. Regarding your chest return edge question, leaving roughly 1/8" or so should be sufficient.
  15. Nice work so far Pat. Question regarding the Ab section. Looking at your photos, the back plate appears to have a portion of the TD attached to it, is there anywhere for the back plate to be split behind that TD section? The reason I ask is the CRL states there can be no visible seams, that means the sides will need to be seamless. If your body is small enough to slide into the Ab section fully enclosed then you have nothing to be concern with. If not the back section will need to have a seam so you can open and close it.
  16. Excellent! Welcome Alex
  17. Doesn't matter who made what statement. As you should know the CRL is constantly changing. As accuracy details are implemented so does the requirement.
  18. If a section of armor is not accurate how is it fearmongering to state it may not be approved in the condition that it is in?
  19. Sure looks like it doesn't it.
