  1. Congrats Steve, welcome to EIB
  2. You're good. Too bad, I just cut up a pair I didn't need
  3. Regarding the sniper knee position, it might be ok where it's at Jason kinda hard to tell from this picture angle though.
  4. I don't have a problem with mine. I only use them as a guide anyways, once the belt is in place and tight everything remains fixed. The "S" snaps are not as strong as standard snaps like most people use these days however, they are the movie used snaps. On another note neither type has any effect on approvals.
  5. Did a Lego Con here in CA yesterday, pretty fun, a lot of smiling faces as usual.
  6. It's alright Tasha just having fun, echo away!
  7. Repeating the same comment or question or phrase or etc. This thread reminds me of an STD, the gift that keeps giving Alright it's a sick joke, still funny though
  8. Yes it will, unless someone can prove to me it doesn't meet the following requirements Thermal Detonator For 501st approval: (A.K.A. O2 canister) attaches to the center back of the belt. Detonator consists of an all grey cylinder, without silver stickers or silver paint. The cylinder is between 2ā€ (50mm) and 2.68"(68mm) in diameter with white end caps on each end. The white control panel pad faces upwards, with the controls/round washer style detail closest to the right end cap. The total length is approximately 7.50" (190.5mm). The thermal detonator is attached via metal or metallic-appearing clips, approximately 1" (25mm) wide.
  9. Will it come with a shoulder strap? lol
  10. Let me be clear folks, I'm not shaming anyone here for voicing their opinion, critiquing other armor manufacturers or build styles I just saying until the armor is IN OUR HANDS maybe we should lighted the harsh sediments.
  11. I guess I'll humbly take that as a compliment
  12. Paul I have to utmost respect for you and your armor however, maybe you should cut these guys a little slack. I'm pretty certain nobody's armor comes out perfect the first time. Sly and myself just approved the first Centurion in WTF armor, though it wasn't as sanitized as TM, it's still respectable armor. This goes for everyone, maybe we should hold off on the condemning judgement until it's seen in the flesh. There's a great deal of new troopers reading this thread, some spent every cent they had to buy a set of this armor. A little encouragement goes a long way.
  13. I don't see why not, that's what I did for a rookie mistake I made. Found some identical fabric, cut out a square swatch, glued it over the hole, made it through approvals. As long as it looks clean I'm ok with it. Heck maybe I'll make a detailed tutorial how to do it, NOT!
  14. lol, echo Option "B", $30 for a new belt from Kittell
  15. Man, with the stands this thing is going to weigh a ton unless made of some light weight plastic.
  16. I bought my pack from Dirty Boy, $360 at the time. You can always turn around and re-sell it afterwards. [email protected]
  17. I used either CA or E6000 glue for assembly each section then dry wall screws to attach everything to the drain pan, and as Joseph stated don't paint the oil pan. If you want to give the pan a duller look just take a scotch brite pad to it, takes the shine right off.
  18. Patience! Also, the pill holes are already out lined for you, just follow the return edge, and take your time. After 35 years of being a technician I don't have the steadiest hands anymore, if I can do it so can you. Small hand files are a good idea also, as Charlie has mentioned.
  19. The CRL is NOT aesthetic specific, well, at least the majority of it isn't. It's more about assembly. Specific aesthetics though important, may not play much of a role regarding approvals. I have two of these bad boys coming, once they're in my hands we'll know for sure. From what I've seen so far though, basic is a given. Proper assembly will determine L2 or L3,
