Yes. If it's the right thigh it's not an issue, though I suggest strengthening the joint by adding a interior cover strip if needed.

TFA Thermal Detonator/Has CRL changed?
ukswrath replied to Jayben Kenobi's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Looking at the reference photo above the decal looks roughly 1/8" smaller than the second inner step. I'm gonna have to go back and look at some reference photos and check this, especially considering that's my FOTK at the top hahaha -

No, as Jim mentioned at this moment I only see a black bicep and partial yoke section. BTW you're rocking that helmet Jim. Awesome job! -
The Last Jedi (TLJ) Stormtroopers - a first look
ukswrath replied to tkrestonva's topic in TLJ Stormtrooper
Regard in the black sections of armor a few of us were discussing this on the FO Facebook page. I'd personally commented on how the top section of the yoke is black and the million dollar question from a year or so ago regarding the use of a black shoulder bell has now been answered. -
I'm all in favor of cataloging every detail, as well as discussing whether certain details actually need to be in a CRL and why. If that discussion is held prior to concreting a CRL as I'm sure it will, then sign me up

Yep saw that. Thanks

TK-25567 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status (ATA) [341]
ukswrath replied to password's topic in Request Centurion Status
Hey Juan welcome back, thank you for your patience and Centurion application, let's do this. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Thank you for making the corrections Sly suggested during your EIP app. We are happy to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the L3 rank trooper. Beautiful job on your build Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We have nothing to add. Excellent job Juan. Time to get out there and serve the empire -
Definitely would be a well deserved badge for this man.
-
Yea I totally understand why we would add it but I think there's plenty of other details that would make it almost impossible to convert a OTTK to R1. If we go down this road we might be drawn into adding things like "sharp crisp almost 90 degree eye lids" and/or every other section that has very subtle yet extremely high details because of the manufacturing process. These would be great for even a higher level. Again, just throwing out my thoughts.
-
I still don't understand why are we considering "extremely subtle "swoop" shape, or a bump on the bottom" in the CRL. This is an armor personality trait similar to that of OTTK armor which is loaded with them yet are not included in CRLs. IMO this bump or swoop would be an element mentioned at a SWAT level, if we had such a thing here. Point being, every other component in the L3 section could be picked up even by a novice looking at a photo, the swoop not so much. 2 cents

Hey Toni thank you for your patience and EIB application. Let's have a look shall we. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Beautiful job on your armor build. . At this point Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to go over here so get to it. Starting with the neck seal. I'm sure this is just a photo issue but it looks blue, it should be back. Please let us know if we're wrong. 1. your shoulder bells should technically be touching the chest, back and shoulder covers. A simple strap adjustment should bring them closer. We know this is not always possible. We just encouraging applicants to try and bring them close as possible. Here's a screen shot reference photo. 2. There should be roughly 1/2" gap between the biceps and forearms. This is difficult to do sometimes especially if you have long arms. If you can try to reduce the gap in this area. Reference photo 3. The front arm cover strips should be facing forward aligned with with each other, your's appear to be a bit twisted. Nothing a minor adjustment can't take care of. Reference photo 4. The waist belt is a bit crooked, lower on the left side than right. It should not only be level but should also reside at or just below the ab buttons. Could be a simple attachment issue. Reference photo 5. Sniper knee attachment. As we strive for accuracy that also includes how section are attached to one another. It appears you may have had to perform some repairs where the sniper knee is attached to the shin itself. We're suggesting this area be cleaned up a bit if possible. Reference photo/s Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. The only area of concern is the drop box alignment. According the the CRL they are to be aligned with the outer most edge of the waist ammo belt. Simply gluing the drop box strap to the cloth belt usually remedy's this issue. Reference photo That's it Toni. great job on your armor. Hope to see you at Centurion. -
Purdy boots. Armor wise you're almost ready for assembly, a few trimming adjustment and you're ready to go .
