  1. What is recommended is add shims using ABS past to fill in the seam. Afterwards install correct size cover strips. There are a few threads on how to do. FISD attache Walter Paet has a nice tutorial.
  2. Unfortunately I don't know of any stores that carry that specific mat material any longer. I believe Wyatt's FOTK belt material is the same, you'll have to ask him if he sells it or where he buys it from.
  3. Excellent news. Glad to be of assistance
  4. Looking good. Wait for the proper snap tools. Legs, there are sever build threads to follow in regards to specs. Suggestion, don't take off too much or else the legs may look odd in relation to other armor sections. You're better off adding foam to the inside to take up any space. The foam can also be used to maintain alignment. Hope this helps
  5. Cover strip specs: Arms 15mm Legs (except calf) 20mm Calf 25mm Calf velcro install - If you've installed a 25mm cover strip, using mineral spirits or similar remove any oil or dirt by cleaning the cover strip extending from the shin, and the inside shin half, roughly 1/2" from the edge. Using 3/8" to 1/2" wide strips install velcro the entire length of the calf or 2" long sections in three separate locations (upper, center, lower), similar to where hooks would have been installed. Hope this helps
  6. Scroll down to the actual belt section -
  7. Very nice! Maybe just clean up the edges (old paint) a smidgen.
  8. Here's a movie used helmet also.
  9. Looking good trooper
  10. You know this is a really good photo. It would be nice if it pointed out the fact that the drop box needs to be positioned at the end and directly below the ammo belt with little to no gap, as stated in the Centurion CRL
  11. Hey Richard, glad to be of assistance. First off rough belt measurements, see below. The holster straps should have two sets of Chicago screws, two for the cloth belt and two for the holster itself.
  12. It really depends on you and how much you're willing to do yourself. Noted suppliers/dealers on my build page are only for certain items, everything else I made myself ex. shoulder connecting straps. Everyone is different, some people like to just buy and install, others like to make it them selves. I personally like the satisfaction of doing everything myself, it's a pride thing. Knowing almost every aspect of the build was done with my own hands. Do what you feel is within your build skills, or push yourself, either way we'll be here to help you regardless which avenue you take.
  13. The Centurion Stormtrooper Accuracy Set is just that, an accuracy kit, it has nothing to do with the Centurion level. Will it help you to earn the badge? Depends on if you build the armor correctly. The kit does not guarantee you a Centurion badge. The waist belt and hand guards are the only mandatory changes at Centurion outside of what Anovos already supplies. That being said, Sly and myself have no problem telling applicants, or anyone else for that matter how much we dislike the internal velcro connecting straps, belt and some of the helmet details by Anovos. All of which we highly suggest updating for accuracy sake during approvals. Bottom line, the Trooper bay kit is a nice kit. If you have the $ it's not be a bad idea however, here on the FISD we also encourage DIY.
  14. I do use photo bucket but I pay for it. Glad the tutorial helps.
  15. If you're going to buying goodies, do it here on whitearmor, it's cheaper
  16. Welcome and congratulations
  17. I pay $99 a year to avoid all the adds and so far I have no issues posting photos.
  18. Unless I'm completely blind, which is possible, I'm unable to edit my signature.
