  1. Until proven otherwise or a general consensus is formed the CRL will probably remain the same however, something we do need to get confirmation on.
  2. Hey Jeff, thank you for your patience and welcome to your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: Looks like all the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor appears to display all necessary elements as set out in the level 2 CRL. Joseph and I would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry. Congratulations. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. You've done a fantastic job your ROTK build Jeff, absolutely beautiful . Thank you for your patience as we updated the CRL and poured over canon photos. Since you're the first ROTK to apply for EI naturally there's more scrutiny which is time consuming. At this time we're please to say we have nothing to add in the way of suggested fixes. Well done Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. As mentioned above we have nothing to add in the way of Centurion suggestions. Clean build and application, hope to see you at Centurion.
  3. I've trimmed several sets of thighs from different suppliers, almost everyone one was trimmed differently. TM obviously has more experience with his armor. so I don't doubt his technique. Bottom line, whoever's armor you do have take your time, double and triple check as you go.
  4. Ab side (first) Top rivet - Roughly 10mm from the top, firm 10mm from the edge Bottom rivet - Roughly 10-15mm from the Ab/Cod seam, firm 10mm from edge Middle rivet - Split the difference from top and bottom, firm 10mm from edge Kidney side Across from Ab locations, firm 10mm from edge
  5. Nice work on those gaskets
  6. That definately is a possibility though the CRLs are generally based off canon prop photos or screen shots, not toys
  7. Another possible change. I could be wrong but I think the hovis have black interiors. Anyone have photo that states otherwise?
  8. Thanks for your patience Rick, just finishing up some last minutes checks.
  9. Looking forward to seeing what they look like all cleaned up.
  10. Congrats Jeff
  11. My pleasure and glad to be of assistance
  12. Looks fine and as TM just mentioned how it fits is just as important. Yes not too snug is key.
  13. Poppers for accuracy yes, not a requirement. The Anovos snaps are sufficient but not highly recommended because they're below standard.
  14. Glad to be of assistance. If you're still having issues please let us know.
  15. Yes and yes. The above illustration is for the male snap mount. The matching female snap can be placed almost anywhere on the cloth (kittle) belt however, obviously you'll want to center everything. If the stiffness of the kittle belt is confusing you than pretend I didn't mention it.
  16. Hey Eric, the measurement illustration provided in the belt assembly and install section should guide you. 1) Mark the holes on the ab section from where you'll install the male snaps (according to the illustration). 2) Align and mark the same holes on the cloth belt evenly spacing the distance from the center of the belt. Remember to give yourself a little (no much) slack to compensate for the cloth belt stiffness. Note: Wwhen fully assembled the upper edge of the waist ammo belt should be at or just covering the lowest Ab button.
  17. Working on some details regarding the CRL is the reason for your app hold up.
  18. Awesome glad to hear
  19. As Dan suggested fill in the hole on the thigh ammo belt Regarding the posterior (butt plate), as Daniel mentioned move or add connecting straps closer to the forward vertical edges. With snaps and straps correctly installed the kidney should retain most of the posterior flare, as the waist belt retains the kidney flare. Keep up the great work
  20. Hey Jeff, Joseph or myself will be with you shortly thanks for your patience brother
  21. We're busy but we'll be with you shortly
  22. Looking good, the offset at the top is normal for this armor. You can leave it as is and run the cover strip to the top of the outer half if you wish. I've seen others trim the outer half corner down a bit before adding the cover strip but that's entirely up to you.
