  1. Looks Epic Bro! Congrats and great job, final stretch! As far as the boot are concerned, a while back I followed a thread from "An ATA for Tampa bay" where he ran into the same problem. His user ID is wingnut65. Here is a cut and paste from what he did to fix the boot issue. I shared it a while back with another guy doing a death trooper and he said it was exactly what he needed. Good luck! Tightening my Boots… My second troop was going to be a long walk and I didn’t want any possible chance for my shoes pop out of my shins. At Jo-Ann’s, I found 3/4" (19 mm) wide white Velcro One-Wrap, which is self-gripping, with pointy thingys on one side and soft thingys on the other side, so it can wrap around something and stick to itself. I cut two strips long enough to wrap around my ankle one and a half times. I also added a piece of industrial Velcro soft side to the front and back of the top of my boots. When put on my boots, I tighten the Velcro around my boots tight enough to take out any extra space, but not tight enough to restrict my movements. Then fastening the Velcro at the front of my boot to the inside of my shins, and I am good to go! It isn’t pretty, but the shins come down and completely cover these straps. Later, I’ll post an update on my boots to discuss durability… Now that I have my boots and shins all fixed… Let’s Go For A Walk! Who’s with me??
  2. Great step by step tutorial BUT of course with recent events, inquiring minds want to know more about your bracket they are mounted on. Can you show some pics. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  3. I ca'd a couple of spots. Risky put the risk was minimal for me. Good luck. Sooooo close. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  4. If you search "An ATA for tampa bay" in the ANH build thread you can read about his fix on a similar problem. It's close to the end of his thread if you want to jump straight to it. Sorry I can never figure out how to cut and paste in tapatalk. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  5. Mwah hahahahahaaa! Can't wait! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  6. Are you planning on installing the aker in your chest plate or hanging it from your belt? Just curious... Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  7. Whoop whoop! Congrats Angie!! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  8. I didn't know he had a Facebook page. The different holsters are amazing! Martin I am sure you can reach him through Facebook or you can check out his thread in the ongoing sales section. Hopefully this link will work. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16744-leather-e-11-holsters-35/ When you email him he sends a very detailed response that includes all the info including his neck seals info which I hear are very good as well. Definitely recommend the 4oz holster. It's very nice.
  9. Yeah Vern has a tutorial where he cuts his at 8 1/2 inches and Tony has one as well where his are cut at 9 inches.
  10. Armor looks fabulous dude! Great job!! Are you using the elastics to hold down the straps. How does it look that way? Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  11. If you are going to attempt to make your own belt I believe the material used is called duck cloth canvas, joann's has it I purchased some black to make a garter belt system. Otherwise Tkittle's belts in the ongoing sales thread is where I purchased mine, It's really nice. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  12. Seriously, you have a amazing build thread happening. Be proud bro. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  13. Rock and Roll. Please let me know if you need anything. Also, if you need rivets for the ammo thigh pack. I have more than I ever needed and can drop some in the mail for you if you'd like for free. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  14. Bro don't sweat it. Just had a little less going on in my life at this time than you. You are doing great and can see the finish line. We'll be there cheering you on! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  15. Dude! Most excellent job on the sniper knee, it's almost perfectly straight. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  16. Just finished up my AP build it was a lot of fun. There is absolutely a ton of knowledge and help on this site, you are off to the right start. So, to answer a couple of your questions. I do not believe (20) line 24 snaps will be enough I bought a hundred pack, ruined a couple not hammering incorrectly and I messed up sizing some nylon strapping so I lost a few that way as well. As far as E6000 I ended up using a tube and a half of glue. Hope this helps.
  17. Looking at the package it's called a Rivet Setter. The part number is 8100-00 If I still lived in Houston I'd let you borrow it, sorry my friend. They do close early too...
  18. I purchased my setter from Tandy. It uses the same anvil that you use for the snaps so you would only need the part you hammer. I forget how much I paid for it. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  19. Basically. I really didn't understand it either until I suited up. On one side you have the two pieces held in place by multiple rivets and straps, on the other side it's just one strap place on the very top so I wound up having two pieces trying to butt up against each but would ultimately overlap each other. I am sure there are many ways to combat this issue. For me, creating the Tab from left over pieces was super easy and quick. The tab helps keep it more in place. To be completely honest I spent since Oct of last year reading as many build threads as I could and seeing all sorts of great ideas but there was quite a few "hurdles" that didn't translate until I was actually faced with it, if this makes any sense. 20. I have the same number of clamps. The other day I was wondering what I will do with them when I'm done. [emoji14] Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  21. So awesome! Thank you!! Yeah, just realize you'll make a mistake or two (I did) but almost all are fixable and we are here to help. Make sure you hit me up when you start and I'll be sure to follow. You'll have a blast! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  22. Absolutely. It's a great finishing detail. Thank you and Luc for the reminder/idea. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
