  1. Ugh... well at this point they match, oh well, I'm gluing those guys down as we speak. I'll chalk it up to a fail and see how approval goes. Thanks Mark, might be calling you for some new ones! [emoji30] Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  2. Annnnnnnnd the other side... From here out, every time I stare at my butt and see those Tandy logos I will forever be reminded of this scene Wayne's World. (I just dated myself didn't I) Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  3. While I was drooling along I decided to cut down one of Joseph's rivets for the cod piece. This looks like a good height to me.. I think it's a win. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  4. Ok... so I attempted some "fancy" bicep hooks... I'm chalking this up as a pinterest fail. When in doubt, reference a Tony thread. He used ca glue. I'm too chicken and went with E6000. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  5. Congrats, good luck and may the force be... uhhh errr... anyway good luck! I'm constructing my AP as we type!
  6. Awe, thanks! I'm trying! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  7. When in doubt I always search one of Tony's (ukswrath) threads and realize another level of attention to detail that I'm forgetting. Looking at his straps in his AM thread I decided to trim some of the extra off these straps. I think it looks better. Left side done, right side to go. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  8. I also worked on the knee belt. I searched for a bit trying to find some idea of how to cut the curved part out. I remembered seeing something really cool and easy once but couldn't find it for the life of me. I ended up going with this and maybe this was it? If not, it's to late now!?! 9. More snap plate gluing... Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

  13. Had some extra cover strip... well it really wasn't extra I just cut it to the wrong size [emoji30] and glued it in to help fill the space. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  14. Just some bicep work today. Went to a local armor party last night and got some great advice. Met some cool peeps as well. On ward! Starting to glue nylon snaps in place as well. Whoop whoop... Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  15. That's an awesome story! Enjoy your vacation!! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

  18. Hahaa! Yeah CRL just states 7.5 in lenght. Caps and control panel I was just taking off Ukswraths post. Figured why not. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  19. Awesome, thank you. I had gotten Kevin W's inner drop boxes and I think the fit is great. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  20. Ahahahahahaaaaaaa! That is so awesome!
  21. Ok... so this little anvil is supposed to be pumping out snaps?!? I move the process to a real anvil in the garage and got these done is a few minutes. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  22. Ok. It's time to make the nylon snap plates while I am waiting for the glue to dry on some of the other parts. So, I made a very complicated jig that exhausted my mathematical abilities. I have extensively documented it in every detail for you. There you have it. [emoji14] Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  23. Tube painted and control panel E6000'd on. I just need to get the aluminum brackets which are providing to be elusive at the local home depot. Maybe I need to visit Lowes. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  24. Getting the TD panel and caps sized. I also prepped the tube for paint tomorrow! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  25. Ok... last time I promise. So it looks like if you just seat the caps on the pipe you will be over 8in in length. It needs to be 7.5in. Reading Ukswrath's thread he mentions doing 2 things. 1. Sanding the edges of the pipe so the caps will slip on easier. 2. Hot water bath for the caps to get them to seat all the way down. I guess if you want to be able to press fit the caps on and off you can always cut the pipe down to adjust for the caps not being seated all the way. I'm gonna dig around on a couple of other recent AP build threads and see there is a way around the hot water bath. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
