I find it quite sad that people feel the need to post derogatory comments about other garrisons, last time I checked we are all united under the same banner of the 501st. Calling out a garrison as "dumb" is uncalled for and quite frankly offensive, especially when these comments come from a FISD attaché, and is not in the spirit of "troopers helping troopers". I understand that the written word is easily misinterpreted but in this case I can see no other context in which to take your comments.

RS are on the list of vetted armour makers, they are reputable

Build a gaffa tape mannequin to store it on, that's where my RS lives between troops

You'll definitely get the screen accurate look from RS. This is my RS, it's ABS but it gives you an idea of what to expect from their "bumpy" lid

Which is exactly the point I was trying to make, I was not trying to argue with you, I was just pointing out that your comments on the quality of builds from RS are just your opinion. The RS commissions I have seen have been of a very high standard

I guess that's down to personal opinion, beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all

On paper it is but it depends on how well the armour fits you too. The work that RS do is great but as I am sure you can appreciate when they are building from a set of measurements once you get the armour there might be a few tweaks here and there to ensure a perfect fit. Hope this helps!

Small world! The only things I've ever built out of wood is a table with a wonky leg and a doorstop so the prospect of building one of these makes me think I'm out of my depth but if I ever pluck up the courage I'll definitely be picking your brains!
