  1. There is another detail you can add to the inside of the cog on the backplate. In the bottom left quarter in the base of the cod there is a depression as seen on the R1 screen asset photo. I think there are few more closer shots I'll see of I can dig up for you
  2. Welcome to FISD Jonathan!

  4. Hi Andy and welcome to FISD!
  5. Although not from R1 these are some close up cut-outs from the Makinarium UK images. They were one of the studios making armour for Andor. It's always interesting when you start to look at what's in the background of workshop images. In this case you can see they are using some kind of lining in the forearms. Looks to have thickness to it like foam or neoprene type material. Possibly for comfort but to also assist in holding them in place.
  6. Welcome to FISD Corey!

  13. Most of the armour worn in ESB was recycled ANH armour. Helmet details were modified and there was a Mark II helmet and armour as appearing in RoTJ. It must have come to a point that they didn't have enough complete undamaged sets left causing them to pull more parts and leading to the so-called mark II pieces. Check out the articles in the link below which covers comparisons of original sets across the original films. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/Return-of-the-jedi-stormtrooper-comparison.htm
  14. I'm wondering if the original manufacturer had at some stage changed the mesh they were using for the tap fitting itself. Could have been for a few reasons, like supply chain, or minor design change etc. Fun to speculate none the less
  15. Check out this from our gallery. This is a complete original plumbing fitting the helmet tips originated from. Or these that were up for sale And to tie it all together this from RS
  16. Looks like you had a wonderful time Paul. One day I hope to get back to the UK and go see the team at RS myself, very awesome.
  17. Welcome to FISD!
  18. Welcome aboard Tom!
  19. What a massive undertaking this is. Certainly coming together nicely despite the few issues you've had with spaghetti prints and paint fry. Looking forward to seeing this come full circle and you being approved.
  20. Seems to be working fine for me, using Firefox browser.
  21. Yep, that's a Shore Trooper/Tanker shin
  22. Modified bicep but we wont really know until we see it on screen and try and get a decent image of the real thing. Looks like a wrap with something resembling an officer cap and belt button.
  23. From most reports, the business is now in a much better position than it was under the Anovos name. If they have an item in stock, it ships pretty quickly, they also don't seem to push the pre-order anywhere near as much as the old company did. I believe they are much better on the communication side as well, but I'm sure there are others with more experience in dealings with them that can tell you more.
