  1. Quick Jay! Buy all those cool $100+ figures and Lego sets today. After she is born your free cash will evaporate. You can buy a condo for what daycare costs :-p Congrats! My first is a girl too - you'll love being a Dad
  2. Let's keep it family friendly in the open areas guys...
  3. Jonas - you're all set. Others - please include a link to your TK record in the 501st database. Sorry mates - but with a new baby I'm pretty squeezed for time to look each up myself.
  4. Damn - now why didn't I think of that? Oh, guess it was because of the threat of castration my wife gave. Jay - it's a pretty killer mod Congrats btw on your soon to be. <hijack> Is it a boy/girl? Is this your first?
  5. I think it came out really well. Unless someone is a few inches away, I don't think anyone will notice. Cutting in to your ab plate is that extreme step that will separate the men from the boys -
  6. I thought about it some more, and believe you found a possible loophole. We don't explicitly state that they must be full decal or hand-painted, but it does seem implied. The cutting of the lines for venting has been uncommon enough a mod to be overlooked I think. Before adding this as an amendment to the standards, I'd like to see more discussion on this. In the end it would go up for vote after all. We (detachment staff) would certainly open a poll for changes to the standards should someone request one.
  7. A poll was made and the amendment passed in the detachment member's section, and the requirements updated.
  8. Great question! In current form it would prevent you from getting Mark status. It's pretty clear looking at the screen caps that they are hand painted details. Alas, one of the sacrifices for accuracy I'm afraid.
  9. Whoa! This is going to be one amazing project. Can't wait to see your progress
  10. My son William was born the evening of April 3rd, coming in at a healthy 9lbs 10oz and 21-1/4" long ('tis the season for big boys, quoth the nurse). I am happy to report that Mom and baby are doing well, though everyone is very tired! While I'd be equally happy for my daughter to join our ranks, she has been (in my fantasies) earmarked for flight surgeon duty (doctor + pilot + officer = proud father). William Mingkai has white armor in his future for sure, and if he outgrows that, black armor. While the wife may not approve of his career choice, Dad has already figured out the trick of giving him cool Star Wars toys via proxy gift giving. ;-) --------------
  11. My condolences for your loss Matt. Our prayers are with you.
  12. You'll do great Andrea!
  13. The answer to your question is here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7 and http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=16
  14. Whoa! I need to get my company to transfer me to the UK. Too much cool white armor goodness going on over there. That, or Hawaii...
  15. Most black hole armor is based on the current FX molds, in which the left thigh is a huge barrel. I have the older FX thighs that are more contoured and pretty tight. How trimmed are your thighs?
  16. It will be interesting to see what happens as we close in on having 10,000 members!
  17. Hi Adrian, V'Pier or Army Scout could say for sure, but my guess is it knows who you are from a cookie. That's different from being logged in, which then issues a different secure session cookie. Like when you go Amazon and it knows who you are, but you have to sign in to buy anything. May be helpful to know your OS/Browser combo and your cache/security settings. My bandwidth is limited right now, but either of them may have the answer. Paul
  18. I'm not seeing holsters on a lot of troopers and think we can remove it from the deployment requirements. Second, yours is the first ROTJ style stormtrooper that I didn't hate. Actually, it's beginning to grow on me a little. Fantastic work there Bernard.
  19. We can call it the RPF TV channel... LOL
  20. Great start Bernard! Lead the way
  21. No, it's because I missed this detail when I put the requirements doc together and no one else caught it. Same thing with green bubble lenses. Both will be added as amendments after the first poll closes. Now is a really good time to go through the standards and see what else was missed
  22. For those who didn't notice it on the 501st boards... This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge. This panel would cover the various incarnations of the armored stormtrooper costumes seen in the original trilogy, namely the clean TK, the sandtrooper, the snowtrooper, and the scout. It would be pretty sad if all that showed up were TDs, TBs, and TS's - volunteer today!
  23. Maybe shaping it with a heat gun would help?
