  1. Also our very own Deckard fronts quality kits: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=1898, which is nice because you don't pay markup on the rest of the items that you can source yourself. This is all FX though, and our hobby extends beyond that. There are other makes - do some research before buying is always key.
  2. He's a known recaster. Stay away.
  3. I'll echo this. You'd have this space all to yourself, and I think there'd be a nice demand. Esp. given your sterling reputation for quality in clone helmets, this gives much confidence in what your quality bar will be for these.
  4. You should wear the costume as seen in the movie. Actually for a left handed firer you'd rest on your left knee. If you look at ANH the stormtroopers should be left handed - the holster is on the left, they stand at attention with their weapon held in their left hand. The sniper plate is on the left. It's only that the stunt men were right handed and fired their weapons that way that the confusion comes in ;-)
  5. That's a great idea, but my wife hates this hobby with a passion and I can't even bring them to a troop, lest they get "contaminated".
  6. I'm sure I could find a cheaper babysitter, but I don't trust tweens to watch my 1 y/o. So we just use ladies from the daycare, which we know are all background checked, child CPR, etc. My wife's Asian so getting her to agree to a babysitter at all is a work unto itself.
  7. All set Keita. Btw - your GWL did a great job for your bucket on photo - looks great! Can't wait to see your Elite status application soon too Jeff - gotcha covered - welcome aboard
  8. Wow, I feel much better now.
  9. No worries Ed - you're wife's a stay at home. Why not go for a third?
  10. Yup, and I have two kids aged 1 and 3. Care to guess what I pay? Yeah, like I said you'd freak...I freak about it at times too. The wife and I play a game of what our lives would be like with no kids...all that disposable income...
  11. When I was just a dev in my previous employers' it was easier to hide behind my desk and just choose a monkey task for that day if I stayed up the night before. But being a PM now I'm like a mini communications center and I just can't get away with being dogged. Hence the babysitter...
  12. Well, could be worse I guess. At least I got some mods done to the TD gear. Also found out I'm missing my raw umber paint, and the I think I got the wrong snap pliers. :-p Nothing I can't fix by next troop at least.
  13. Cost of living in my area my man. None of the girls at the daycare pimp themselves out for less than $13 an hour for two kids, esp. when one's only a year old. Heck - the ladies working the cash register at the super market make $13/hour. You'd blow a gasket if you know how much daycare here is.
  14. Booking a baby sitter at $15/hour to watch your kids so you can work on armor, only to discover that somehow your repair kit is lost and you are out of snaps, snap pliers, CA glue, and that nice t-rack you bought from Smitty. And the nearest Jo-Ann's is 20 minutes away. And it's snowing. So that's one hour gone just getting stuff
  15. Neat idea - can't wait to see how it develops
  16. In this case ANH is used to mean correctly sized to screen seen, not that this armor is 100% ANH correct. Also note the FX there is using the older GF thighs.
  17. Enlisted in the Army Reserves as an 11B (Infantry - Rifleman) in 1987. I did split option as I was in college at the time - Harmony Church for basic, then over to Sand Hill for AIT (both are parts of Ft. Benning). Switch to WI ARNG and moved MOS to 67V (OH-58 Helicopter Repair) in '89. Completed PLDC & NBC Training in reserve schooling, but actually did full time schooling for BNCOC (Ft. Eustis) and safety school. Plus I did some full time (contract) work as well in admin and also as a wrench. Alas, my unit was slated to go to Desert Storm but it ended too quickly and we never got deployed. Finally got out after 10 years in 1997 - wish I had stayed in to be honest. Then again, I wish I had finished ROTC and gotten my commission too, rather than staying enlisted. The downside to the Guard is even if you have your schooling there still has to be a slot in your MOS to get promoted, so even though I made E-5 in four years and completed BNCOC, there were no open E-6 slots in my MOS (there were only 3 - count 'em 3 - 67V30 slots in the state), so E-5 I remained. Finally got tired of waiting for one to open, which is why I got out.
  18. Link not working Terrell?
  19. [email protected] is what I have in our database. You should be able to send an PM to V'Pier - once it's a passport issue he's the best resource.
  20. Patrick & Jean-Paul - thanks for supplying the links. Access updated!
  21. Done! Congrats to our 20th Elite trooper. Way to go Brad
  22. Would love to see on in person, or better a side by side to this or AP/TE2 for comparison.
  23. OK, I believe we're all caught up
  24. It is a great day for the Empire! Next milestone: 100 Elite Troopers
  25. Coming along nicely!
