  1. There's a YouTube video of an f-11 made in Lego. Looks awesome.
  2. Then sell the above helmet and buy a more accurate kit?
  3. They are black fotk gloves I think. Definitely cloth with leather.overlay.
  4. Not true factoring in all the thousands of hours of model work. They went clunky and campy thinking " this will never need a sequel or have thousands of nerds dissecting it."
  5. Different units often have different uniforms. Remember that we really only see Sandy's and death Star stormtroopers in anh and Vader's detachment as a boarding party. We don't ever see a landlocked base, or mixing of stormtroopers.
  6. If it's PVC just hold it. A hacksaw will go through it like butter.
  7. Say...no...more! Really. Paint it pink.
  8. Latex isnt always porus, or chemically reactive. That's why some caulking is printable , some are waterproof, some are both. I know CA glue on the ...German ones...stick to my chem gloves like...well glue.
  9. Efx is fine. If you read the crl...it only prohibits FX helmets. The crl is the place that lists in approvable stuff.
  10. A crl isn't based on someone selling kits. There's two ways to get a crl. First In Legion:. Make a kick an impolite person screen real accurate costume, write the proposed Cel, submit all the needed reference pictures ( think centurion application pictures ) and submit to the LMO. Or, wait for enough full body high def imagery to appear, write a basic outline, and get a fire lit under our butts :-)
  11. They will both be death troopers. Original are tk deathtrooper no space. New will be tx death trooper spaced. But please don't space troopers. We don't like it.
  12. Either wear glove liners or white dress gloves inside to soak stuff up...but you'll still sweat lots. Nomex flight gloves. Use elastic around wrist and middle two fingers in the plate or glue Velcro to latex and sew to glove.
  13. Scout. Tie pilot. Atat driver are rare and well loved. I'm only going to suggest what I always do:. Take a full body picture, and draw a stormtrooper into your frame. How does it look?
  14. Shoulder bells: lengthen the bicep elastic an inch. Then just put the shoulder bells to the shoulder strap. They won't flare that much with the lengthened elastic.
  15. That's it.
  16. We have both ata and ap locally on our group of five fives...ladies all around that mark. Another has anovos.
  17. Your better off doubling it and putting the snap through both. Glue will unbind and they'll turn into 90 degree snap flaps.
  18. And sometimes a different costume choice makes sense. I'll never make Vader. I'd feel silly.
  19. Don't get me wrong. I can be disappointed in actions yet still be enthusiastically behind leaders 100 % . The scroll on my wall taught me it's OK to do both. That format is what I used on a dnd board for player / judge disputes. It works and I'd love to see it used. Feel free.
  20. Ah. Ones fixing the others issues. Got it.
  21. Well I'm still waiting for my evilboy f11 from last year. But that's one thread. I'm not sure what JJ makes.
  22. I don't know who they are, really, so cant comment. I'm bad for real names. I'll rephrase: I'm against admin soliciting or encouraging feedback of any kind because it shows favouritism , and if admin does suggest, or strongly suggest, that kind of post that the post be sent to admin to read , correct anything that shouldn't appear in it, and then allow to be posted. Let's be honest:. This thread should have four posts: 1- admin post, the following is a complain by a member. Only a response from the vendor is allowed. 2- complaint 3- response 4- admin post, thread locked, old continue in pm or other non public means. 5- admin follow-up, the issue resolved to both satisfaction. This post doesn't get posted until it's true. Just like the better business bureau. Make it a separate area for people to read if they want.
  23. I don't think this or any other forum needs to be the place for kudos or complaints. Why? We have zero control over who issues kudos or complaints. It's all honour system. We cant tag other members for quick resolution. Our charter and op have no terms or policies for relationships between buyers and sellers. I've never seen a vendor / maker post " this member is crap to deal with" or " this member is awesome" again because this is a public forum. I would really like to see things like this ...just...not part of the forum at all. Save it for eBay. Save it for PayPal. Yes I know vendors keep costs down by asking for friends and family. I know vendors keep costs down by selling with PM's and fb messages. I'd like to know which vendors claim this costume Income on taxes if it's over the threshold to do so. For example in Canada no tax needs collecting if the business make less than 30k a year. But income still has to be claimed. But when we start allowing posts like this...I think we've stepped outside what this forum is for. Unless we're actually going to police the for sale area...we have no business Involving the detachment in disputes of any kind.
