  1. Hengstler up until recently used to supply the 400 series of which the Types 464-468 were very close to the originals (Minus the Eagle logo of course ) Here's the spec sheet counter_typ464_468_en.pdf You can still pick up plastic cased non eagle original type for around £20-£50, you just have to hunt them down The last time that I managed to get my hands on a few I only paid between £15-£20 and the 20 units that I had flew out the door to all my chums Hunt around and you'll be supprised what you can come up with Ohh, and although the most common used counter in the films was a 6 digit model, they also used the 4 digit version as well which looked exactly the same (but with two digits missing of course ) once it was painted black
  2. Gentlemen All requests have now been processed and you may now run amok in our wonderful 501st areas. (in nice way of course ) Welcome aboard guys
  3. Jesse As Mark said, TE did a limited run of helmets in ABS a good while back and this is a very good example of one. A little bit of home work never goes a miss mate .
  4. My old mate Gary Hailes (89Batman) was sorting through some of his old magazines and he came across a great little article featured in 'Star Wars-The Official Magazine' dated June-July 1997. The article is about how much attention ANH received when it first came out back in 1977 and features some great, if some what dodgy , pictures of original armour used for publicity shots and for an exhibition at the Science Museum. The detail isn’t great but its always bloody nice to see ANY pics of the real thing no matter how bad they are. Enjoy http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp139/Billhag/StarWarsMagazineJune-July97No4Strai.jpg PS It looks like they used a sandie on at least one of the mannequin’s by the shape of the sniper plate
  5. I used to run with everything set up in my lid but I found that the Hovi speakers were just not MAN enough so I swapped it all over to my chest where it sits nicely and I just wear a light weight head set Mic which allows me to take my helmet on and off without any fuss
  6. Martin Looking pretty darn nice there mate The only thing that jumps out at me at the moment is your drop boxes. The right one seems to have a mind of its own and decided that it wants to go and play with his TD mate around the back (the little rascal) Plus it looks like you will need to change out the black elastic on them for some of the white stuff Very nice job therew Sir

  9. Dan They are not easy mate , I tried one a while back and they are a right bugger There used to be two or three really good posts over on the RPF but most of them have now gone. I managed to find one that outlines a lot of the mods. You may also want to give Chris - Madmartigan a shout because I know that he did a hell of a lot of work on his one after it got damaged in the post. Here's the link Treadwell http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=18813 And just in case its not visable to non members, here's the gist of his post;-

  16. Brian Status updated mate Fredrik Looking good there Sir,as Brian said you seemed to have covered off most things Great looking set up
  17. As most have said, easy enough to achieve with just a few mods I'd personally go for two belts as I don't think that you can successfully hide the holes that the ANH fixings would leave, but HEY!, that's just me
  18. <_< ....Yerrh, so you say....I bet you're in co-hoots with him and you're both sitting around that open box RIGHT NOW!
  19. Pete Stop bloody teasing everyone you cruel sod you

  21. Aaron I think Mark'a right about those patchs mate Here' s the shot of the Dr. Evizan blaster with the 2 sights that Mark posted up ages and ages ago plus the SWP shot of it as well I think that Shawn probably based his sculpt on the reference pic's of the Alien Rexim-Favor Nostromo pistol as there are far more of those available then there are for the SE-14R. Here's a few shots of it and as you can see they used the same parts as they did in Star Wars like the Single Point scope etc The quest continues to try and find more reference shots of our version
  22. Tom....seamless, like the well practiced magician you are That's Nathan's (a fellow UKG member) old back pack and it just so happens to be sitting in my bedroom at this very moment, being hidden from another UKG members girlfriend 'coz she doesn't know that he bought it ....the games we play I can't see Rolf going with these cheeky but cool mods because they're not really 'cannon' and you know how much he strives to be 100% authentic . I maybe wrong though..... Rolf Looking bloody darn sexy there mate, loving how this is coming together. Quick question, how did you sort the 'Boy scout' frame out?, did you cut and bend it? or did you just leave it as is? PS Just LOVE the pictures of Little 'Sly'......I see he gets all he's good looks from his mum
  23. Yerrh, nice one lads ....sorry 'bout that, forgot myself for a minute and suddenly came over all peculiar Thanks, guys. As some have said "its not the count, its the content" and I hope that the members of this fine forum have had a giggle or at least a thought at my ramblings that may be found in my first one thosand And as my esteemed colleague as said, here's to the next 1000
  24. Close mate You're right about the photos, they're Pete's, but the little doodles and descriptions came from little ol' me I'm afraid
