  1. Nomex Flight Gloves | Gems Ultra Durable | Black, Size 9 (Comparable to Medium-Large) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S72VDSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_qAIdUaDCFz2F5 These work great for trooping when you don't use the rubber ones. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Nice work my friend!
  3. Congrats Tim! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Mathias.
  5. Anyone familiar with this website and the armor discussed therein? I've had a couple of questions come up about the website recently, but I'm not familiar with the website or the kit.
  6. I use mine to secure my thigh garter system as well. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  7. I really like this idea. Way to think outside the box!
  8. Try reading here to find what you want. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
  9. For those not keeping up with the changes, LFL revised the policy a bit last night. They are still requesting that we leave blasters at home for all Disney/ LFL troops and movie premieres until January 7th. They would prefer that we follow the policy for other troops, but essentially will defer to local units. Legion command is working hard to stay in constant communication with us and LFL on this issue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Until further notice.... Don't like the sound of that.
  11. Everyone has their own preferences for strapping, but IMHO I think elastic is best everywhere so that you have a little give when you move. Static elastic can stress the plastic creating higher likelihood of cracks.
  12. You can also contact the seller for a replacement set. If you used e6000 to bind it to the chest, you can pop the broken sucker off and replace it. New set of bridges shouldn't run much. Heck, somebody here might even have a spare or two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. just across the bridge in PA. Did you sign up yet with the NorthEast Remnant? www.501stner.com
  14. Do you wear those backwards with the rubber looking side is on top of the hands, or just the way they are pictured?
  15. Ever since my approval, I've been trooping with the black chemical gloves (with a set of costume gloves underneath to absorb the sweat!) I'm curious what everyone else troops with for gloves these days after wearing the rubber gloves for approval.
  16. I like those hard case ideas. Joseph, I'll let you know if I can work it out to be a cost effective option for selling. Gotta hit Joann's and see what I can work out.
  17. Isn't that the new Disney version that you can get at the parks? Its not the old Hasbro and not the Rubies either. Still not worth that price.
  18. I am curious how most of you guys transport your blaster. I have been trooping for the past year, and usually wrap my blaster in a towel and put it in a backpack. It doesn't fit in my armor transport. I recently attempted to make a carrying bag. It has a canvas shell and a soft flannel interior. In the middle is a thin layer of batting. Made some rookie mistakes along the way -- didn't roll the canvas over at the zipper seam and it frays, a bit big -- but it works for now. Just curious what others do. I'll post some pics in a bit. Can't from my phone. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  19. Took a much needed vacation, and have been focused on finishing my daugher's Jawa so this was on the back burner for a bit. I gave everything a good warm soapy bath, then gently trimmed out the trigger from the trigger guard and separated the pieces that needed separating. Next job is to sand everthing down. I also got my hex bolts to replace the muzzle and grip molded bolts.
  20. I was thinking MTK for you as well. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  21. Some of it boils down to body size. What is you height and weight? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Minor variations aside, darned happy to see this. Does look like Disney armor. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Good idea on the portable vise! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  24. Just remember, even though you have more 'flat space' does not mean you need a larger cover strip. You only need larger cover strips if you have a gap to fill. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
