  1. Ah yes, the fact you cannot update your topic title is really annoying!! Sorry about the unjustified criticisms
  2. This is a nice looking helmet, but this is a nice STUNT helmet right now. Except from the low brown (and maybe the lenses, i can't figured out if they're bubbled or flat), you have Stunt details here. You've hollowed out eight teeth instead of six and you've painted too much of the frown. Also the end teeth need to be recess with heat or filled with ABS paste for example. In the end, ears should have three bumps instead of four and be affixed with only 2 screws and not 3, even if we cannot tell if you've done it with your pic. if you need some References pics, have a look here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/37-anh-hero-helmet-celebration-4/
  3. You look very good! However you might need to upload pics with a better resolution because they're a bit small. The only thing i've noticed is the lower back of your right thigh that seems to come off. (And you might also post picture of your ammo knee belt rivets and the crotch rivet even if CRL mark it as centurion stuff...)
  4. Or just wear a balaclava under. In addition, i wouldn't recommand using a mesh as those tooth holes are in fact a sight organ for a trooper! If you want to be able to see something that's close to you but smaller, or something laid on a desk without having to bend your whole torso just peek an eye through these, very useful!
  5. I'd say, don't restrain yourself by looking at AP build only. In the end, we all tend to the same result, no matter from which armor maker the armor comes from. There are specific issues that come with AP so yes look at some others AP builds but in the end the basis are the same for all. The main ressources i used: - The "photos References" here on the FISD are priceless. To be checked before all the rest! (you can zoom all the images by right-clicking them): http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/ - The Stukatrooper's albums on Flickr (easy to find with google) - The Geaux Saint's TM build here on the FISD - The OsotheBear's build and Jancelot's are also great AP builds with a lot of pics - The EIB & CENT applications are also useful (always look at the Photo References first though). In the end, you can always ask here, there should always be a kind soul to answer you
  6. Tsss, that's it, i need one... Might not build it from scratch though, i haven't your (amazing) skill! Congrats! What type of scope is it in the end? 4x20 Vintage ASI?
  7. Yeaah! You look pretty good for a first full suited set of pictures! Good job! Keep improving it until it fits you like a second skin I love what you did with your shins, hooks FTW For your gloves, perhaps you could try to use glove liners underneath. And for the shins, i've padded them like that: And the popper at the bottom is linked with my boot to completly preventing it from twisting Otherwise, just pad it so it feels good on you. It depens on where you have room to fill or where the armor hurts
  8. There was a bunch of SE-14R scopes on sale on the french forum and i regret not having bought a couple a that time!
  9. Perhaps you could try to pull your stomach in for the pic and then... Let it go
  10. You might need to take a picture with a ruler next to your side gaps. For EIB, the CRL says that: "For level two certification (if applicable): Any gap between the ab and kidney plate shall be no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. Any shims used to achieve this effect should be of a similar material and color as the ab and kidney plate. Shims shall fit flush and seams are allowed ." Still, good luck with your approval !
  11. Excellent build !! Should be no problem for the approval. There's only that seventh t-track which need to be grinded down and then a new raw of holes need to be drilled instead
  12. Depends on which paint you used. If it's Humbrol paint just rub it with some thinner (eg: White Siprit) on a piece of fabric and it should wipe off
  13. Tube strips are imho the most difficult part of the paintjob but they really bring the helmet to life, and now they look way much better than before!! Good retrieval & keep up the good job
  14. There's no canon way to do it. The accurate way would appears to glue the hengstler. So if you want to have your counter bracket bent up or down it's as you wish
  15. As Paul said you could try to overlap your kidney and abdominal plates. I found this pic to illustrate this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stukatrooper/3567940515/in/set-72157602745743114 Thanks Stukatrooper!
  16. I remember having read somewhere that our DO FunkyTrigger is on vacation, i guess this is why all the EIB/CENT applications are kind of a pause right now
  17. The top return edge doesn't really matter as it will be hidden under the shoulder bell, just keep a little one at the armpit identation. And about the bottom one, cutting it off will help you avoiding pinches when you will bend the arm, so yes feel free to remove it.
  18. ESB helmets are nice so if it's the only one you still don't have, do it But you know what it means: if you have the helmet, you'll need an armor to go with ^^!
  19. I think you shouldn't have too much problem with your EIB. However for your own comfort, i think your abdominal plate sits too high. You should try to bring it down, it will reduce the gaps between the top of your thighs and the cod piece and make the top of the abdominal plate less overlapped by the chest plate. It will also solve the back & kidney plate little overlapping.
  20. Very impressive scratch build! It really looks good I like the design of this little blaster, you make me want to build one too
  21. Ooooh i love it !! You did well by not painting it, colors are wonderful, especially if you're a dirty trooper. And i love the texture you've created on the scope rail, makes it look like it's a part of the original Sterling! Must weight heavy though ?
  22. One tiny little thing: you've forgotten to paint the ammo knee belt rivets (except if they weren't paint on tantive IV stormtroopers). Looking forward for your weathering!
  23. What a shame ! When you think that for the same price you will be able to have an eFX armor with a mannequin, etc... I feel sorry for those who will buy it!
  24. Les infos du CRL officiel précisent que le diamètre peut être de 5 à 6,8 cm. Ça te permettra d'avoir un fourchette un peu plus large pour tes recherches
  25. What an impressive armor you have here !! It's very pleasant to see a so well fitted armor (except the biceps a bit too wide). BTW everything looks so accurate that i've been surprised you installed a mesh on your lid. Also, your helmet stands very high on your head, maybe too much padding inside. Still your armor is wonderful ! Good luck!
