  1. Looks perfect now, great job on the mod! I think this would have been ask to you one day or another so it's a good thing done .
  2. Damn, the last 2 figures Centurion is here! Very special Congratulations
  3. Very nice looking armor! Should be no problem for EIB. Or perhaps the fact your ab and kidney plates overlap a bit each over might be the only issue.
  4. Don't be to concern about where your brow is ending, there is no canon position. Below you can see an original helmet with the brow ending in the trapezoid: So it's really as you prefer! Though, as Steve i personally prefer when all the trapezoide is covered Good luck with your build
  5. I was impatient to see the result and for a first full suited test and a 6' 1'' trooper, the fitting is amazing! Congrats Steve, you've built that armor extremely fast and very well, the new owner must be really pleased As i love to throw (little) rocks : - The holding blaster strap looks a bit loose. Perhaps it's different with the blaster in it though. - And the right shin looks like it want to twist, might need to link it to the shin It's good to see a build that comes to its end. Once again, congratulations!
  6. What a wonderful armor! Great job! And i love the texture on your blaster, looks really cool Few minor remarks: - Perhaps you could shorten a bit both the drop boxes elastics, they seem a bit loose right now. - You have beautiful hair but it would better if we couldn't see it on the back of your neck when you helmet is on . Wear a balaclave maybe? - The holster straps seem a bit wide. Their width should be around 20mm Anyway, good luck with you approval! IMHO, it shouldn't be too difficult
  7. Yes, that's something that crossed through my mind few times and i think this is a great idea. And if that could make a difference, i cannot congratulate you enough for your armor, it's a wonderful one! And i'm sure every one would agree with that! BTW, i noticed something else that could be modified on your armor for a better screen accuracy today, should i tell it ?
  8. in fact, the secret thread is all the other Centurion Applications! As i said there're plenty of small details that have become required to obtain the Centurion grade which aren't written in the CRL (and which will probably never be). And sadly the question about updating the CRLs just seems like an utopia for me... Those things are nearly immutable!
  9. Looking at your Sniper Knee Plate, i think its side could be more straight for a closer movie accuracy: I don't know if that could be a Centurion show-stopper though. Still, if it's e6000 glued and if you find the time, it might be something good to do to push further in accuracy. And good luck with your approval, your armor is excellent!!
  11. Love the Sponge Bob' pants !!! ^^ It will be over soon if you keep that cadence
  12. I agree with the fact that having the exact holster straps width for EIB is "over the top". However i think this is a relevant detail for Centurion and with an armor like that i'm pretty sur Micheal will submit for Centurion, so i think this is just anticipation for the future Cent. approval from Phil. Over the time the knowledge and the accuracy expectation have increased a lot and plenty of small requirements have been implincitly added to the list without being written in the CRL, and they probably never will be. I think the holster straps width may just be one the latest one Still Micheal's armor is beyond EIB level!
  13. Proceeding very well and very fast! It's good to see a build handled like that, it has become quite rare these time and it's pleasant to read And nice trick with the (dreaded) SKP, this part is really a piece of sh*t to fit!!
  14. Yes, that's what i did too and the biceps & forearms look just right. The strange thing would be to have too large biceps or forearms. You may just need to reshape a bit the inner curve of the forearm depending on how much you had to take off on each side
  15. Volunteers might also need to bring their own boots too? Unless you have several pairs of different size; or some foam to put inside if volunteers have smaller feet than your boots.
  16. Why do you want to cut the cod ?! I second Mathias on that, you should keep the ab and the cod in one piece or you'll have issues with the strapping, the belt position for hiding the cut line, etc... And for the ab buttons, they must be flat like on the pic below:
  17. Extremely accurate build! Fantastic! Good luck with your Centurion approval PS: Some of your links are down though, might need to update them PS n°2: I don't think the crotch rivet needs to be painted white
  18. Hi, I was looking on the web for a french source of accurate s-trim for the helmet opening and i've found this one: --------- What do you think about it? Is that the right type and does the dimensions look correct? PS: I think most browsers have a page translation feature if you need it .
  19. Well, you can use the "follow this topic" button on the top/right of the page and you'll be notified via e-mail of every new reply posted with his content.
  20. - Nice right forearm, you've fitted it well! Very often the right ATA forearm looks wider than the left one but you managed to keep them the same size, well done. - Your helmet stands high on your head though, there's maybe too much padding inside I think your elbow gap looks acceptable. Just paint them black and you will be good Anyway you should have no problems for the 501st approval!
  21. I think velcro users usually glue it with e6000 rather than using adhesive but i might mistake myself. In the end you can always swap and use hooks to close your shins
  22. Originally the padding i use was something rounded. Then i cut it in half to have that semi-circular shape. It's kind of difficult to explain precisely what the original piece of foam was, even in french i would have difficulties! His purpose was to tuck in a armchair cover ! Usually you just find this stuff it by luck
