  1. Excellent build !! Should be no problem for the approval. There's only that seventh t-track which need to be grinded down and then a new raw of holes need to be drilled instead
  2. Depends on which paint you used. If it's Humbrol paint just rub it with some thinner (eg: White Siprit) on a piece of fabric and it should wipe off
  3. Tube strips are imho the most difficult part of the paintjob but they really bring the helmet to life, and now they look way much better than before!! Good retrieval & keep up the good job
  4. There's no canon way to do it. The accurate way would appears to glue the hengstler. So if you want to have your counter bracket bent up or down it's as you wish
  5. As Paul said you could try to overlap your kidney and abdominal plates. I found this pic to illustrate this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stukatrooper/3567940515/in/set-72157602745743114 Thanks Stukatrooper!
  6. I remember having read somewhere that our DO FunkyTrigger is on vacation, i guess this is why all the EIB/CENT applications are kind of a pause right now
  7. The top return edge doesn't really matter as it will be hidden under the shoulder bell, just keep a little one at the armpit identation. And about the bottom one, cutting it off will help you avoiding pinches when you will bend the arm, so yes feel free to remove it.
  8. ESB helmets are nice so if it's the only one you still don't have, do it But you know what it means: if you have the helmet, you'll need an armor to go with ^^!
  9. I think you shouldn't have too much problem with your EIB. However for your own comfort, i think your abdominal plate sits too high. You should try to bring it down, it will reduce the gaps between the top of your thighs and the cod piece and make the top of the abdominal plate less overlapped by the chest plate. It will also solve the back & kidney plate little overlapping.
  10. Very impressive scratch build! It really looks good I like the design of this little blaster, you make me want to build one too
  11. Ooooh i love it !! You did well by not painting it, colors are wonderful, especially if you're a dirty trooper. And i love the texture you've created on the scope rail, makes it look like it's a part of the original Sterling! Must weight heavy though ?
  12. One tiny little thing: you've forgotten to paint the ammo knee belt rivets (except if they weren't paint on tantive IV stormtroopers). Looking forward for your weathering!
  13. What a shame ! When you think that for the same price you will be able to have an eFX armor with a mannequin, etc... I feel sorry for those who will buy it!
  14. Les infos du CRL officiel précisent que le diamètre peut être de 5 à 6,8 cm. Ça te permettra d'avoir un fourchette un peu plus large pour tes recherches
  15. What an impressive armor you have here !! It's very pleasant to see a so well fitted armor (except the biceps a bit too wide). BTW everything looks so accurate that i've been surprised you installed a mesh on your lid. Also, your helmet stands very high on your head, maybe too much padding inside. Still your armor is wonderful ! Good luck!
  16. Have a look at this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/8117-helmet-ab-paint-detail-reference-guide/ I used the Grey humbrol for my TD.
  17. ^^ The lightsaber test reminds me the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail !
  18. It might help you: With that pic and the CRL infos, you should have all the mesurements needed
  19. From the CRL: Thermal Detonator For 501st approval: (A.K.A. O2 canister) attaches to the center back of the belt. This is an all gray cylinder without silver stickers or silver paint. The cylinder is between 2†(50mm) and 2.68"(68mm) in diameter with white end caps on each end. The white control panel pad faces upwards, with controls/round washer style detail closest to the right end cap. The total length should be approximately 7.50" (190.5mm). The thermal detonator shall be attached via metal or metallic-appearing clips approximately 1" (25mm) wide.
  20. I assume you can leave the back like this as your back ridge isn't that big and it looks fine, but yes correct the front cover strip as you will be asked to do it for Centurion (and maybe for EIB too).
  21. Looks perfect ! Biceps are maybe a bit wide if there would be one thing to enhance.
  22. Nice job so far, however if you're looking for Centurion you'll need to correct this: On the thighs, the cover strip needs to end just before the knee ridge like on the pic below:
  23. I made a little diagram to help you Good luck with it & the rest !
  24. The overall looking is really good ! Congrats ! Some points which could improve though: - Obviously your biceps strapping need to be reviewed - Closing the belt in the back without a mirror is difficult, but it's just a matter of habit. You'll managed to do it soon - Maybe you just forgot to put them on, but the white elastics wrapped around the shoulder bridges are missing on your pics. - And there's maybe a bit too much room at the bottom of your thighs Wonderful armor ! You did a great job !
  25. One of the best ear i've ever seen ! Unfortunately there's two of them : p Good luck with the second !
