  1. What a great looking armor! I won't even talk about getting EIB because if you don't get it no one will But about Centurion, if you plan to submit, the holster will need to be re-fastened to the belt with the rivets rightly positioned: I feel like your sides on the ab plate could be shaved a little more: Also i think you will need to add a cocking lever to your blaster: And about some improvements unrelated to Centurion, you can dab some black paint on the thermal detonator screws; and i know it will be difficult but it would be good if you could move the belt end caps closer to the edges of the abs belt (perhaps with a combinaison of re-gluing and modifying the end of the belt trimming it could be possible):
  2. Shoulder bells are now sitting the right way, and i see you have also moved the belt end caps for a better position which is good . Good luck on your approval! On few improvements you could make, you should dab some white paint on those side and thigh rivets; the thighs could be sized down for a better fit and look; and the drop boxes should be aligned with the outer edge of the ABS belt. I think none on those would restrain you from getting Centurion but if ever you have some free time one day...
  3. I've read some people used small dots of glue to keep the nuts in place so i guess that's an option. I don't know if flexible washers would change anything about the tearing. Actually, for me the less return edge you will have, the more flexibility you will gain and thus the less cracks caused by the brackets. So shaving your return edges closer to the head of your bracket screws should be a good idea to avoid tearing.
  4. +1 I would focus on that before anything else. EIB is about the look and shoulder gaps like that aren't really Stormtrooper. But the rest is looking good, apart few details only mattering for Centurion. Good job!
  5. You can trim at the wrist end like you drew it, if you really need it. Forearm on the right of the first pic and stormtrooper on the left of the second picture:
  6. Here you go: But keep in mind that it all depends on you body type, some have a much shorter strap:
  7. About the strap, i'd say like all the others, tight but not too much. Question of balance. And if your Ab plate is as high as possible then, it's certainly your thighs which are too high in the first set of pictures, so i would stay with the second positionning. Unfortunately the NE thighs aren't as tappered as the original ones so you cannot fully close the gaps around the cod and keep your hip mobility at the same time. And if you need a bit more room around the knees to help you when walking keep in mind that you can notch them.
  8. There's some good comparison shots about the different t-tracks sources on this thread (but unfortunately, sskunky's ones aren't there): http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24735-anh-hero-e-11-requirements-for-centurion/
  9. Good thing to learn I'll shoot ya a pm if i ever need ones then.
  10. Make sure to strap your cod with the crotch tab of the buttplate. That strap is an essential one and change a lot of things. On the side pics we can't really say if you ab plate is high enough because of the thighs. The cod should really be right under your "family jewels".
  11. For me it's clearly worse to leave the flashing than to remove it. Other than that, it's looking good.
  12. Your best bet will always be to follow what you can see on screen used armors! The RS photo gallery has all what you need: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_16/med_gallery_12157_16_17455.jpg http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_59/med_gallery_12157_59_6377.jpg http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_59/med_gallery_12157_59_33748.jpg http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_59/med_gallery_12157_59_52480.jpg http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_59/med_gallery_12157_59_30969.jpg http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_59/med_gallery_12157_59_2026.jpg More pictures: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/59-the-rs-suit/
  13. I personnaly used my x-acto knife for the helmet, as for all my build.
  14. You can see the glue residue from the hengstler on both the scope and the gun barrel. It's supposed to be there, it just fell before the picture was taken. BTW, no D-ring too
  15. Please remember that this thread is from 2008! The hobby and accuracy knowledge was definetely not the same at the time. Those guys were pioneers! Original thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/4697-howto-make-a-metal-scope-rail-counter-bracket/
  16. Andy aka PlayfulWolfClub has done an excellent spreadsheet about all the different kind of combinaisons which appear on screen, just pick your choice. And many thanks to him!! So yes, M19 are ANH screen-accurate unlike the wires...
  17. Very nice technique, i had never heard of that before ! I guess modelism pigment would have work the same though: The 5% final are the power cylinders or is their anything else?
  18. You spent several hours comparing, measuring with callipers, etc, and didn't take one pic... sad. You understand we won't trust you on your words i hope. Pictures on the first page are still obvious to me.
  19. Aren't they within the rest of the strapping gear they sent you? If they're not, then just send a mail to RS and they will send you the missing snaps asap. The stuff they use are snaps similar to the vintage Newey ones originally used on the armors for the film, and which is English stuff, so i doubt you will find them easily to your location. The best way to find the correct matching male ends for the snaps would to take a female end to your local store and make tests up-there. Maybe it would be easier on eBay but we just don't know the name of the brand they use. Below are original snaps, it's not the same that RS provides but it should be close in range: (The head should be around 5,5mm) And yes the CAP rivets are used to fasten the canvas belt to the ammo belt. They're also used to fasten the inner drop boxes to their strap and the ammo knee belt BTW.
  20. In the end, i'd be interested to know what is the brand they use as it's a very good look-alike. Do you have any informations about where to get this stuff?
  21. Ha ha, the good thing is you can scowl (i'm absolutely not sure about this word ) under your helmet unnoticed when people get "funny". I'm lucky to be 6' 1" in armor so i'm not bothered with that question And here's a picture of a D-ring i was talking about, it's a ring with a "D" shape that goes on the end cap of the blaster:
  22. And what are the snaps TM provides with his kits? Same new gear than RS?
