  1. I hope Shapeways isn't going to hold your prints because they look too much like weapon parts.
  2. Pretty much everything ends up ok after watching frame by frame the ANH Stormtroopers . You can even secure the top of the butt plate with the kidney plate using white duct tape. One way of fixing this issue might be to modify the oblique line on the butt plate:
  3. Stefan is right. This is not an ESB helmet but one of the infamous "ESB MkII" the production made to replace the old and worn ANH. Like Mathias has already said it, only one of those made its way to screen for ESB. So if you want bubble lens inside your lid, then you will have to replicate entirely this helmet.
  4. Okay, thanks for your diplomatic answer Eric. I think this way of working kinda counteracts the advantage of having two DOs, but as you say, this is the first time we have two guys in charge so it might take time to figure out how to make it work. And sorry for derailing your thread Sean. Good luck with the approval.
  5. Out of curiosity, are you actually reviewing both each application, comparing your results, choosing the points to keep, and then making the official post? If it's the case, it feels to me like having two DOs will actually slow down the approval process, and that the DO workload won't be split at all.
  6. Is it this post you are looking for Sébastien? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/6372-index-of-all-tutorials/
  7. Lightsaber and blaster t-tracks is the same material. For that part, it's a one size fits all. And if you mean, you need longer tracks, Roy is doing T-tracks long enough to fit an E-11 too.
  8. This is looking slick, man!
  9. Same here, I've got a trooping the 19th in an IMAX theater, so I guess I'll see then for sure.
  10. Well, if you're already aware of the issue, consider me a happy man! Slowly, it's getting to be known that there should be no gaps at elbow joints. Yet my crusade continues, as i'm sure there are still some heretics to evangelize
  11. I see you have a strap running from your biceps to your forearms, but right now it is far too long. You should shorten it until the top of the forearms reaches the bottom of the biceps. And if it feels not comfortable, you just adjust the height of the elbow joint by lowering your biceps armor. Otherwise it's looking really beautiful. Well done trooper!
  12. Well, thanks for highlighting my work guys. I don't post much in the newsletter threads so it almost unusual for me, but be sure I always read them thoroughly and with interest. So keep it up, and thank for doing that for us.
  13. It's working for me. Try with this link: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/
  14. I'm glad to see some people are still thinking for themselves rather than following the CRLs with blind eyes. Keep up like that Frank and Cody!
  15. Be sure we're all watching your progress with interest. This is looking very solid so far.
  16. Good luck guys.
  17. Haa, the sweet noise of ABS rattling around. You never get tired of that Gaining some clearance around the knees will definitively make it more comfortable, even though I think the top of your thigh going into your groin will always limit your movements. But that's something I would advise to learn to live with. After all, we're all about the look, the comfortness is secondary. Oh, and yes tilting the head down with a stormtrooper helmet is pretty much restricted. And I mean a lot.
  18. You might be joking about your soldering skills, but it's still better than most of us. Or at least me. I'm glad to see you're keeping the momentum going. At this pace it will be over soon! Edit: Oups, looks like we've crossed posted. Very nice to see the full suit together again. This is definitively looking good. And given your height, notching the bottom of the thighs and the top of the shins at the back is something that should really ease your mobility.
  19. Good call, it's indeed looking better now.
  20. Taking the office after Gaz will be difficult given how well and accurately he did all this work during such a long period. Kudos to you Steve, and thanks for your dedication to us.
  21. Back cover stripes for the shins are supposed to be 25mm so go with that. And it doesn't matter if there's a bit of the flat area still showing under the cover stripes. Just do your best to hide it.
  22. Here's for you: http://collider.com/star-wars-7-captain-phasma-costume-details-images/
  23. I like to say "Sorry, it's too heavy for you." After that, they watch me with respect in the eyes
  24. The problem I see is that you final detail is leveled with the indent when all the steps should be sitting inside it: Definitely better than before though.
  25. I could send you 3D files so you can get them printed by Shapeways if you're interested.
