  1. Hello and firstly good luck with the build, if you are doing and ANH version your holster will be on the left side, if ESB then it will be on the right. It's a pain for most of us right handed ANH stormies as our holsters must be on the left, just can't get used to holding my blaster by the left hand, the public has never noticed
  2. Nice fix well done
  3. Looking good, just a couple of things, your side shims seem to be pulling out at the tops you may need some more stronger strapping across the sides, also you could bring your thighs up a little higher and rotate them backwards would give you a little more knee room. Also the buttons don't seem to be the right colors, you may need to check them. The belt seems a little tight, could be the reason why your back plate and butt plate are being pushed out. Trying to get everything to sit right is a pain but once you have it all the work was all worth while
  4. You could put masking tape behind the hole then apply the paste with some scrap plastic or even abs
  5. This one is not too bad lol
  6. Some nice pics from Spectre's thread on the calf velcro just to give you an example Strips added Velcro: Result:
  7. Just round the corners on your cover strips a little so they don't catch on anything . Also the ear in the photo looks like it needs to come up more, it's just a bit of work getting used to working out what to sand, you can see on the ear that the curve in the centre isn't matching the curve on the helmet.
  8. The only thing I would really think about changing is your neck seal, seems very low and should finish just under your neck
  9. I have tried thinners and nail polish remover and neither are strong enough to make the abs into a paste, ideally you need an industrial type of acetone.
  10. No you can have larger cover strips, just depends on body size, the armor has to fit you, not you fit the armor . I have seen 3 inch wide cover strips on the back of thighs so a little larger on your forearms won't make that much difference
  11. Mine was pretty loose even with the smallest cover strips, I have packed now with foam. If you can move your arm without cutting off circulation you should be fine but if it's too snug you could try some larger cover strips
  12. I might add it is much easier to build to centurion standards from the get go, not that much more work and you will be glad you did in the end , good luck how ever you choose to build.
  13. Looking good but you could go a little squarer on the teeth corners also the brow trim seems high in the middle and low on the sides. Coming along nicely
  14. Looking good so far, just remember every little bit adds up in the end, take your time and do it right from the start. Good luck with the rest of your build
  15. Normally you can see a faint line where the helmet pieces need to be trimmed. Have a look through some if the ATA threads I know there are some there with pencil lines on them showing where to cut. Good luck with the build
  16. I used some angled abs, velcro and elastic on the end caps
  17. I used a little heat on the back plate to bring it in a liitle then I added some abs pieces behind to help stop the flaring out, my how to is here
  18. Looking good some nice details and weathering, well done
  19. Well true but you will always be thinking "I wonder if anyone has seen"
