  1. All you are doing is trying to stop the crack from opening again, ABS would be best but any tough plastic should do the same, plastic container or plastic sign may work. I would glue with either E6000 or a two part epoxy glue, rough up both areas before applying the glue will help it bond.
  2. Lots of options depending on experience. You could glue a piece of plastic behind then fill the crack with a white silicon, if you use a water based silicon you could wet wipe off the excess. A little more adventurous would be fill behind with fiberglass mat and resin, then fill the crack with auto filler (bondo), sand and paint, but then you would really need to paint the whole helmet to match properly.
  3. I just went with the foam leaf design with a block of foam either side of my ears, allows lots of air flow and the blocks of foam stops the helmet moving around. You can also remove the foam as it's attached with Velcro if it needs a wash.
  4. Try the Getting Started Section http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/

  6. Upgrade to 501st access http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16-501st-trooper-status-requests-include-link-to-your-501st-profile-in-your-request/
  7. I used rubber grip same as used on cricket bats and applied with glue
  8. I used acrylic automotive gloss white on my TFA armor and was very surprised how it matches my ATA OT armor
  9. I have no problems wearing a balaclava, with the helmet fans I barely notice it. I don't like the public being able to see my neck or goatee when they peak upwards
  10. Great work trooper

  13. I've had my ATA armor for the last 3 years and very happy with it's longevity
  14. Although I started with a pouch on the inside of my thigh I just do the same as Andrew, use a combo lock and leave your valuables in your case

  16. If you can't find a Hasbro I've just used the sound cards from other cheap toy blasters, just add a high bright led and if you want to make it loud also add a speaker jack so it can run to your aker amp.
  17. I use a couple of different techniques, I coat first with silver before the black then use steel wool on anywhere that would get rubbed, scratched. I have also used dry brush and sponge to add silver to the same areas.
  18. Hello and welcome aboard, head to the getting started section, lots of info for you there
  19. Are you using the aker amp mic?
  20. I have no problems with my mic in the helmet, is your Aker set up in your armor, it should be as far away from the mic as possible. Chest plate is the usual place for the amp.
  21. I use fine polish to get off marks, I'd also suggest making pouches to cover pieces for transport, mine work a treat
  22. Thanks for the share, our DVD's aren't out here until Monday
  23. These images leaked some time ago Weird slanted side split Seems Stormtroopers lay around a lot
  24. I know a few guys locally will be happy to see this, ready to cross post
