Contact your garrison membership liaison, once you have a costume completed your GML will post it up to the legion membership team for review.

I have used a portable electric heater before and had it running for a couple of hours to warm up the garage, it helped a lot in the cold weather. I would suggest some heat source or you could end up with runs and a dull finish.

TK-12124 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status (405)
gmrhodes13 replied to IBSkyde's topic in Request Centurion Status
Congratulations trooper -
I used some contact sheet, not sure what it’s called in US but it’s thin plastic sticky backed sheeting used for covering school books. Just used a hole punch to get the circle, stuck a piece around each button, painted thin coat of white first to prevent colour bleed under any edges, then applied two thin coats of the grey and blue. I find my hands aren’t as steady as they used to be to freehand

Keeping shoulder bridge elastics in place.

I have my elastic loops sewn to the bridge elastic, no chance of it moving -
Phones....So, I want to know.....
gmrhodes13 replied to TK-71778's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
For items I absolutely need to carry at some times I have a small zip bag I can attach inside my thigh armour, it’s thin and will allow phone, cards and such. Bare in mind I do have thin legs so plenty of room in the thigh area. I know others have a bag which has a neck strap and will fit behind the chest area. i do have a removable cap which has elastic on the inside of my TD but decided not to use as I’ve heard TD’s can be taken occasionally. Really it’s up to available space and how quickly you need to access what you are carrying Most of the time wranglers help carry our valuables and such so if you have one handy that’s your best bet. -
ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
gmrhodes13 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
I disagree, as someone with a FOTK from Anovos I know they can produce it, BUT when it comes to changes they have made and what ever happens between themselves and their manufacturer in China who knows when they will deliver. I think the problem is they just don't give realistic shipping times, if they know there is going to be an issue with manufacture or stages of what happens after the prototype stage then don't give a false date. They ask a lot of money for their products and I believe they are of good quality but unfortunately they just don't deliver with shipping expectations. The shipping issue will no doubt stop a lot of people from purchasing, it is hurting them as a company and I'm sure they can't be that naive to think everyone will still keep waiting until one day they can actually deliver. I really wonder how many have pulled out of their FOTK orders, already seen some other costumes they where going to offer pulled because of low interest . -

Sadly no longer eligible to enter being on command staff. Joseph did you want to run the contest a little longer, could be added to the next newsletter, may get a little more involvement?

FN1313's Jimmiroqaui FOTK Armor Build
gmrhodes13 replied to FN1313's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I use a few knock off brand rotary tools, as I can get 3 for the price of 1 Dremel here, I have a different tip on each so I don't have to keep changing, I'm lazy. So a sanding drum roller, a quick change cutting disc and a multi drill for making holes and enlarging them. These work the best for me but others may use different. the one on the left in this picture Snap tool I use the one that comes with the snaps but I also give them a tap first with a Philips head screwdriver so it helps to separate the post a little and they crush down better. I've not heard of any bad snaps locally but did find that Birch changed their supplier and their new packaging snaps are just a tad smaller, which I found trying to change a couple on my OT armor and couldn't work out at first why they kept coming apart without much pressure. So stick with one supplier and make sure they are all the same packaging just in case. I believe in the US Tandy snaps are the go to but someone else may confirm Looking forward to seeing those Big Brown Box photos -
Nothing better than a big brown box or two, good luck trooper

Hello and welcome, FISD is for Stormtroopers, for everything Tie Pilot head to Jolly Roger Forum

Really it's a little trial and error with width of the elastic, how much it stretches and how much force is needed to keep them closed, BUT at least with E6000 you can just pull them off if they are wrong Here's a few references for spacing and a couple from others builds.
