  1. Correct link: https://www.simpleimageresizer.com/ No that only changes the size of the image, it is not an image hosting site and you cannot upload anymore images here to this forum as you have used your allocation. Again we suggest using Imgur, it's an image hosting site, you upload your images to there (once you setup an account), then once uploaded copy the links of those images back to this forum and in to your posts, it is free. A how to I previously posted
  2. Hosting is a little different to adjusting size, I see this image below was added to the forum and it's 1.75mb and 3024 x 4032 pixels which is quite large for images, standard size my phone takes. Definitely uploading them to Imgur and copy pasting the links into your forum posts helps us to keep down our hosting usage, it's a little inconvenient but most seem to be able to cope, it's been this way for quite some years now
  3. This is why we suggest using a free online image host. This forum could not cater for unlimited images for the thousands of members who come and go over the years, hosting fees would be enormous.
  4. Many of us use a free online image host Imgur as these forums only allow a small amount of photos. Upload to Imgur (when you create an account) then copy paste the image link into your post Normally we align the bottoms of thighs together and trim the tops (opposite for shins). You could trim the top and perhaps add a new return As it is the back you could trim to match the other side then also trim some return edge from the other side to match. Could be a good idea to have a look through some build threads and double check how others have modified this
  5. Images have disappeared, definitely visible yesterday.
  6. Depends how you applied the glue too, I was thinking of using a spray glue so there is a flat base and then a very soft round brush to dab the surface and not brush, perhaps a makeup brush.
  7. I use an Aker amp and Icomm static burst unit, pretty basic and apart from upgrading the battery once I've had no issues @ukswrath also supplies electronics Tramp https://www.facebook.com/trooperamp There are other options out there also, take a look in our Electronics area Other info: Recorded TK sound files More here TK background chatter, great to use on a MP3 player or similar device/card https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14vAaXe7vzNsBYuzQy8Ro2yc0sjnb5k7S?usp=sharing
  8. From our DL: At this time I am not going to be manually updating the membership. The detachment affiliation only applies to elections, and will give you permission to vote in the Detachment elections. If you have gone through the proper process to request your 501st Stormtrooper you are essentially all set. You will be able to reach all posts on the forum, and come the next sync the legion will link you and your legion accounts up and update them appropriately and you will be able to vote. Please note you will have to have signed in during "the previous term" in order to retain detachment affiliation, so if you're reading this logged out quickly login now to register your login for the term. The next sync will be run in January ready for the next elections. At that time I will work with the legion to ensure that everyone has the correct permissions and is not prohibited from voting in the correct elections. If there are any issues they will be managed at that time before the elections start.
  9. Congratulations, hopefully we will see you also apply for EIB
  10. Unfortunately upgrade kits have pretty much disappeared, there are always 3D files but some details aren't quite right Great thread for hand made pieces For adding images to the forum many of us use Imgur, a free online image host https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48799-posting-photos-using-imgur-101/
  11. Hello and welcome aboard, just so you know you request 501st approval through your local garrison membership liaison, to find your closest you can search here https://www.501st.com/maps/ Some info on using the right background (especially if looking at L2 EIB ) Your GWL will thank you for it. Your shins are sitting over your boots and getting caught on your boot loop. Adding some elastic to the front of the boot and inside the shins will help keep them pulled down (or velcro). Also align your drop boxes with the ends of the plastic belt Bit hard to see much else with minimal images Note you will need to supply front, back, side, side, action and helmet off images for your GML. Some other info on joining: 501st Legion - Member Application 501st Legion - Available IDs 501st Legion - Garrison/Outpost World Map TK ANH Stunt CRL Good luck and hope we see you with a TKID very soon

  13. We also have an area for receiving feedback too https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/193-request-tk-pre-approval/, you may also get feedback for higher levels approval EIB and Centurion, it's very rewarding achieving these milestones so well worth looking in to (requirements are in red and blue text in CRL https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt ) Ultimately it is your GML (garrison membership liaison) who looks after base costume approval, but we can just guide you for a smoother process
  14. More photos would help. Also bigger resolution as the one you supplied can not be blown up to see any details. EIB photo guidelines PHOTO GUIDELINES Photo size- At least 800 X 600 (preferably 1280 X 960) Also use the correct background, your GWL will thank you for it. Adding images via a free host is also preferable like Imgur Adding elastic to the top of the boots to inside the shins will help keep the shins down, especially when moving. Good luck with approval
  15. I doubt you will get a reply this is a very old thread and the member has not visited the forum since 2019 Most boots have a shine to them so a semi gloss would be the best. Boot requirements: Boots Boots are above ankle height and made of white leather or leather-like material. Small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle. Flat sole with a short heel. No buckles or laces. Jodhpur/ Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no seam present on the front of the boot. Boots have a black sole References: Google search for dye in Australia
  16. Nice work, you will need to provide another action shot as the one supplied has been cropped too far. Info on using the right background You may also want to adjust your drop boxes and ab/kidney overlapping The drop boxes dangle from the sides of the front plastic belt (ammo belt) via white straps and are aligned under the plastic tabs of the ammo belt. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top also no overlap Photo requirement checklist here Your images are quite low resolution as well so hard to magnify any details PHOTO GUIDELINES Photo size- At least 800 X 600 (preferably 1280 X 960)
  17. Another smidge of ink added
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum
  19. Hello and welcome aboard, there are a few issues with TKUK and not many builds with that particular armor, lots of other build threads similar though. Good luck with the build
  20. For my FOTK I used automotive acrylic paint, there has been some cracks on areas which flex as well as some chips from armor pieces hitting. Have a search through the Rogue One and FOTK build groups many of both would have been painted
  21. I had some success on a 10 year old helmet with yellowing using Retr0brite https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrobright
  22. Getting a few extra pieces you can quite easily do multiple TK variants, something to bare in mind.
