Removing Superglue from ABS Plastic
gmrhodes13 replied to ZanderCage's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
A couple of tricks I've heard of, 1 soak in warm salty water, the other place in a freezer, once removed you should be able to pry off. -
Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks

Feedback on RS test fit please
gmrhodes13 replied to Thiboterham's topic in TK Pre-Approval Questions & Discussion
Personally I would sand and polish for a better finish. Although screen references show they were a little rough Hopefully the @Deployment Officer Team with chime in with their thoughts -
Hello and welcome back. definitely no antennas this was dropped some years ago, nothing stopping you adding it back after approval (depending on your GCO and GML). Pouches are black in color made of leather or leather-like material, I actually made mine from vinyl, not that hard to do with vinyl as it's very thin and easy to work with compared with leather

Hello and welcome to the forum, good luck with the research, this thread can be a great assistance to the first time builder

No not specific to Luke and Han they are both part of the Hero CRL, optional items which had been worn by Luke are the grappling box/hook and comlink Haven't seen a maker of the grappling hook for a while but there are print files here Or you could scratch build like I did

TLJ vs TFA accuracy requirements
gmrhodes13 replied to ZombieGraves's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Even with a TLJ helmet some of the armor does need work to be approved, joining and filler some areas is needed, either ABS paste sand and polish or filler and paint. Differences between the two are Helmet, lots of differences, clips, shape, teeth, frown, and of course the shape/details of the clips as well as extra gap around the clip in TLJ/TROS version TFA Anovos (albeit there was the premier fiberglass and at least 2 plastic versions so they may vary) TLJ screen used helmet, note the gap around the clip and shape/details compared to TFA Denuo Novo TLJ has similar clips and no gaps like the TFA Anovos so it's not very screen accurate. Justin @TheRascalKing offers 3D files for helmet clips, you would have to change sizing to suit your helmet Cod Forearms Anovos/Denuo Novo have a step, similar to Finn but still not quite right, many add a filler piece of ABS and add ABS paste, sand and polish, Justin has a nice DN build here Detonator TFA TLJ has a separate pipe as well as cut out on the housing The TFA TDS were solid resin and weighed 1.5kgs. For TLJ they completely redesigned the TD, cut-out the apertures and created a lightweight insert. There are also some difference in the blasters, more info in this thread At the end of the day it's all down to your GML (garrison membership liaison) and what he/she/they will approve at base level, some are stricter than others, some may miss small details, detachment only looks after the higher level approvals L2 and L3, more detail info on higher levels you can contact the @Deployment Officer Team and also check out the CRL's (costume reference library) TK - Stormtrooper: The Force Awakens TK - Stormtrooper: The Last Jedi First Order Battle Group for everything FOTK related Locating your local 501st garrison https://www.501st.com/maps/ -

FWMB-10K The FWMB-10K was a heavy blaster used by the First Order. A smaller variant of the FWMB-10 repeating blaster, the FWMB-10K featured a medium rate of fire with a high damage output. FWMB-10 Repeating Blaster The FWMB-10 repeating blaster, also known as the megablaster, was a repeating blaster manufactured by the Sonn-Blas Corporation. The FWMB-10s used by First Order megablaster heavy assault troopers who earned their name from their use of the blaster featured integrated stands that could fold out from the blaster, as well as barrel cooling shrouds. Light Infantry Utility Vehicles also used pintle-mounted megablasters as their primary armament. These forward-mounted FWMB-10s had steadying grips and trigger levers, data and power feeds, calibration adjustment, elevation gear, a collimator ring, and collimator sleeves. It was powered by an Eksoan Class-5B1 duplex power generator. Seeking advice on how to fix my FO TK armour
gmrhodes13 replied to Alan Paddington's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Hi Alan welcome to the forum. Have you reached out to troopers locally to you? Having some photos we may be able to help you, most use a free online image host IMGUR, upload the images there then copy paste into your thread/post Here's a how to https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48799-posting-photos-using-imgur-101/ -
Z6 Riot Control Baton References The First Order’s stormtroopers are trained in riot-control tactics and the use of non-lethal equipment such as the Z6 baton. The baton has a magnetic grip, can be spun in combat and delivers a stunning shock. Troopers often use it in conjunction with a betaplast riot shield. On Takodana, FN-2199 used a Z6 baton against his former stormtrooper comrade FN-2187, better known as Finn. TFA TLJ TROS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAtLV26wnCE

Take note there are some details which you would also need to address for a Shock Trooper which are different from the ANH Stunt/Hero or ESB troopers. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_shocktrooper A white flexible U shaped gasket or molded lip shall be present around all edges. A separate kidney/butt plate is not allowed - the kidney and butt plate shall be combined/fused to a single plate/one piece. The crotch tab of the butt plate area may or may not have visible snaps. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Belt does not have rivet covers. Two rivets are visible on either end of the belt. There is no center rivet present. Plastic ammo belt has square corners not 45 degree cuts. For L2 and above Overlap construction must be used. Butt joints and cover strips are not allowed. Blaster L3 Forward D-ring is mounted underneath the front sight on the left side of the barrel. Use of the correct front sight (which differs from ANH and ESB). The scope rail is unique to ROTJ E11 and is not like the normal open ANH/ESB scope rails, but is a solid, one piece, with a unique sight design on the front. The scope connects to the notched out area of the solid rail. The scope is the correct design (as seen in ROTJ), and will attach to the scope rail via one scope mount. The muzzle is unlike the normal ANH style. It is flat with two counter sunk Allen bolts (one located at the four o’clock position and one located at the ten ‘o’clock position). The door catch is correct, not a "close enough" attempt as seen on the Cinemastery blaster.

There are a few quality/detail issues with SDS (Shepperton Design Studios aka originalstormtrooper.com, these threads may help you, @Helotech put in a lot of rework on his SDS kit, most mentioned in his pre approval thread Also his build thread Another SDS pre approval Just takes a bit of work to get them to an approvable costume and a few replacement parts but I'm sure with garrison help you will do just fine. Good luck and any questions please let us know
