  1. Oh, i have no plans to apply, I was just passing comment on my suit. Besides I was about 3 stone lighter when I put it together. I used to be an approved legion member many years ago under TK-5155 but life got in the way of trooping, original armour was sold, etc.
  2. I've been a member on here since 2008, but forgot my password and no longer have access to the email address I used to sign up. and it has been some time since I posted. Previous name was just Nootch. I no longer troop, but have an RS Propmasters setup on a mannequin which I daresay could get me expert infantry were I to apply. Also in the process of 3D printing an E-11 so I can retire my old doopydoos from display as lets face it, they are a bit rough upon close inspection. Just thought I'd drop a new hello for courtesy.
  3. i've got one of these in my SDS battlespec, they're designed for fx buckets so i had to ram it in to get it to fit without any overspill, had to take my dual fans out due to lack of room but i may try and wedge on back in for the summer, its certainly comfy and also stops any helmet wobble.
  4. i ordered a liner from fenixprops, he said it should fit any bucket but it may just bunch up a bit, if you can wait a week or two till it arrives i can let you know how it fits
  5. plus, theres the fact that suits are built to fit the wearer, so there is a smaller field of people available to buy it. After all you don't want to have to pay top doller then spend time modding it. you'd be better off buying a kit.
  6. nice work as always Mr D.
  7. once you see it for real i think it looks kind of cool, haven't seen an in game shot of it yet, all i saw was the action figure and it looked a bit naff. but on a full suit i think its rather sweet. if only i had a second suit of armor to do this to.
  8. at the moment i'm just using some foam cut into a star shape like the originals, but at some point i'm going to do the knee pad conversion. and stephen, my armor is FX only its GRP (glass reinforced plastic) instead of ABS, it has a gel coat top layer that give it a nice shine and also makes it slightly off white instead of the blue tint that ABS has. only problem with it though is if one part breaks i'm screwed as replacements parts are no longer available from the seller.
  9. as you can see i troop in mine, its no heavier than an fx.
  10. looking good, heres a pic of me wearing my one, not as shiny as yours though. ----------
  11. i had a home made chicken sandwhich some doritos and then went for a pint of cider, lovely stuff. made the afternoon at work more bearable
  12. my work requires me to dress smartly but i'm taking them down from within. no tie and soon i plan on not having my shirt tucked in.
  13. after a few troops mine lost their smell. just wear them in a bit.
  14. true, but not as gutsy as those who troop in MR ROTS vader domes.
