Halfpint Requesting Pre Approval Review/Trooper stuff RWA
gmrhodes13 replied to Halfpint's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
If you have any scraps of ABS or other plastic and don't have access to a heat gun you can heat some strips in an oven until it goes pliable then pick up with pliers or clamp and place over your raised posterior/kidney plates and push down. -
Reaching out to your local garrison should help you, many hold armor workshops which is great to see armor up close, I believe this would be your local garrison There is a lot of information and yest it can seem daunting at first but with research you should get on the right path. This thread should help you on your way Good luck and hope to see a build thread from you soon

Halfpint Requesting Pre Approval Review/Trooper stuff RWA

Looking good, a few tweaks and you should be good to go. Just one thing you should be using a blank background for taking photos, just makes the job a little easier editing your membership photos once you are approved if you have a blank contrasting background. We also ask for a blank background for EIB and Centurion levels, some info here -
According to your legion profile your TK has been retired, you would need to speak with your GCO or GML if you still have a TK costume. Hang tight on general 501st access, A.C. will be along soon RETIRED COSTUMES TK - Stormtrooper: ANH Stunt TX - Swamp Trooper SL - Darth Vader: ESB TI - TIE Pilot: Original Trilogy TR - Royal Guard: ROTS TR - Senate Guard: ROTS

Anovos would normally suit anyone of your height and weight BUT it just depends on what they have trimmed off to suit their height so I would suggest asking what they have trimmed for their sizing, if they haven't trimmed anything then is should fit you.

I just find CA and superglue a little brittle for cracks, resin may work but being under stress it may very well crack again
-
With a few cracks I've encountered I try glue a piece of scrap plastic behind to give extra strength, I guess you could tape off the end and run some glue behind, may seep into the crack from behind. I don't think just filling the crack as is may not solve the issue of it cracking again. If it was glued on using E6000 you would be able to tease the end up, with a little pressure to expose the back.

TK-33555 Requesting ANH (Hero) EIB Status (RS) (1056)
gmrhodes13 replied to Armor9's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Nice work trooper, something the DO's will mention is the drop box placement, they should align with the end of the plastic belt not the cut corners, you may want to address that before the DO's get here Just note while you are repositioning the drop boxes if you are look at going for L3 Centurion you will also need to trim the ends of your plastic belt as the angles need to meet the outer of the fabric belt The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. Good luck with approval trooper -
A very slow process indeed, ABS sanding and polishing is not the easiest, I actually used automotive cutting compound, it's a lot coarser than regular polish which helps to bring the shine back quicker, then go over with a regular polish. You have done an excellent job, well done.

Hello and welcome aboard -
Great news, looking forward to seeing more pics soon

Just note as I found recently the coverstrips on the rear are not centered, not in the CRL as yet but may be in the future. Shin coverstrp is hard up against the outer ridge. Thigh there is a small gap between coverstrip and thigh lower ridge

Nice work

Just another comparison on some angles. You can also see the top of the trap is angled down on yours -
See how they look on, I have had to oval a few for those with narrower arms
