  1. Unfortunately this rear area is based on the TFA Finn (or stunt), for some reason Anovos changed this from the Alpah/Beta/Charlie armor sets, if they left it the way it was they would have been fine. You are correct on the curve for TLJ, the CRL image although updated still is not 100%, but best that was available at the time You may be able to add some ABS paste, sand an polish to get rid of those trim lines. The other areas which will need ABS paste or filler will be you Ab/Kidney joins and also the Chest/Yoke connection. Many have used bondo for some of the join areas much like the A/B/C kits and paint the full kit, but others use ABS paste so they don't have to paint, just depends how clean you can make it. For base approval it's entirely up to your GML, they may know there's a difference and pick on it but they may not, I'd suggest reaching out and asking their thoughts.

  3. Can never have enough magnets, clamps or tape when you are on a roll
  4. Thermal Detonator Thigh Armor The thigh armor is mirrored for each leg and not interchangeable. The cover strips are bevelled and approximately 1/8" thick that does not extend beyond the thigh and has a smaller cover strip layered thereon. The top edge of the thigh armor is unadorned, and the bottom edge has a raised detail that fallows the bottom edge contour. The small ammo belt consists of 5 evenly spaced rectangle ammunition boxes and is installed on the bottom of the right thigh, there are no visible screws or rivets. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Thighs are loosely held closed in the back with elastic, shock cord (bungee cord) or white Velcro and are designed to remain flexible. Cover strips will cover both the front and rear joints. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The bottom outside edges of the small ammunition belt are angled at approximately 45 degrees. Thigh armor is suspended by a two black straps approximately 1” 25mm in width with a plastic side release buckle that is covered by black webbing or elastic that runs down the side seam of the leg.

  6. Very steady hands, well done
  7. References, screen suits had a notch on the bottom Also make sure you fit to your body before using the trim lines just to make sure you are not cutting off too much.

NOTED No competition here, just a bit of harmless fun, didn't think some general "Star Wars" memes would be an issue, it was getting a little stale and posting had slowed, this past week had a lot more interaction from members which was a positive from all the meme posting.
  15. Great news, nothing better than BBB's. Where do you start? have you researched?, research is the key, also measure twice and cut once and remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid mistakes from not asking. A couple of great threads, full of info Also when in doubt check the Gallery Sections Good luck, looking forward to seeing the progress

  18. Just the grips as they as these are separate
  19. Definitely, boots can make a huge difference and they do take up quite a lot of room in the base of the shins, don't trim without trying on the boots.

  21. Very encouraging to see the engagement in this thread. Perhaps a poll could be run to pick the name? Once decided upon it would be great to add some info in the newsletter and in our social media.
  22. Hello and welcome, make sure you still do some research as some armor which may have been approved years ago may not meet current approval. The legion has CRL's (costume reference library) which are the base standards for approval, you can find them here https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL Make sure you also check sizing and any color fade. Good luck with the hunt, look forward to seeing you in some shiny white armor soon.
