  1. Perhaps I missed this somewhere, but what are the total measurements (length, ID OD) of the receiver tube? I bought a parts kit (pictured below), and I want to affix it to a tube... -----------
  2. Aww, don't cry Vern...Theres no crying in baseb...err...costuming! But seriously, We must remember that we are here for one central reason...to get chicks.... to help kids who are sick and need to escape from their sad place. We are ALL passionate about SW, and we all want to be as awesome as we possibly can and that will always vary from person to person. "Judge not, lest ye be judged" and all that....If someone needs to feel superior about their costume, or their knowledge of a certain prop or character....well, that is representative of some other deficiency in their life...and they should examine that so they can be a happier person. The Golden Rule...is the rule we should attempt to go by. Some people just need to feel superior. don't respond to that. if you ignore it long enough, they will stop. Obvious Troll is Obvious...
  3. I think I see what Vern is trying to say here. He is talking about common courtesy towards fellow Troopers and new recruits in the use of the written word, choosing our words well ie; more 'Constructive Feedback", Less "Judgementalism" or "Snarkiness". Being aware that, as Robert Heinlein said ,"Common courtesy is the grease that lubricates the gears of Society". We are not here to Judge each other, but to assist one another in our individual quests for our perfection, whatever that may be. For example I am a TX Shadowtrooper and was still welcomed here for advice and guidance on building my costume because of the similarities, not shunned because I am not wearing White Armor (YET!)....I think Vern is trying to say that we need to temper our need to push for higher quality costumes and higher standards, in balance with our greater need to be a positive place where we are truly "Troopers Helping Troopers" so that we do not push away new recruits because the task is seen as too daunting or complicated, or they are not welcome. We must maintain our standards, and we should keep each other on our best legs, while motivating those that are willing and able to take it to the very pinnacle of perfection. Not everyone will be willing or, for that matter, able to reach those levels due to everything from money to skills... Pleae tell me if I am off here Vern
  4. I would not pay more than $500-$800 for one, dependent on condition, parts included and their condition, etc. I have seen them as low as $89 (parts) or $175 (welded, poorly) and over $1250 for a really pristene Deac. You could offer him a fair value, if it is in good condition of $500 but you might start low ($400-$450) to give yourself some room to negotiate. It is hard to tell the condition from the lighting in those pictures...
  5. What do you estimate these will cost? Just an estimate, I won't hold you to it...
  6. I used 2-part epoxy putty to fill that gap and then sanded before gluing the stock in to place. Much easier than doing it once it is attached...As for scope rails, PM Sent...
  7. That was the seller...
  8. If you are talking about the nuts at the end of the barrel and the bottom of the grip, yes. see my WIP here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19500&hl=&fromsearch=1
  9. I want the external mic/internal audio speakers as a kit, ready to install. Most of us have an Aker or iComm and I am good on the fan kit...
  10. 17 1/2 inches
  11. If this is your first resin build, then E6000 cement is the way to go, except for the repair. . it produces a solid connection, but if you are unhappy with the placement of a part, it can be removed and you can try again. You can find it at most hobby and art supply stores, like Micheal's or the like. ---------

  16. I received this response! Dear Jonathan, Thank you very much for your interest in our articles and sincerely thanks for your suggestion. We take good note of it and will study the possibilities to develop this item in the future. Best regards, Jaime Llull DENIX, S.A. www.denix.es
  17. I have shot the Sterling full auto once, in NC, and it struck me as a solid and reliable weapon. But put my feet to the fire and I'll take the Kriss Super V any day of the week over ANY subgun out there!
  18. Wow puts my duct tape and PVC Mannequin to shame...
  19. He offers returns within 7 days, you may want to pull that trigger before he "ships"...
