  1. what about using small diameter PVC tubing for the barrel. I actually used the PVC tube from a set of window blinds...but there are some really small diameter plumbing tubes as well...

  4. I do not know if this has been posted, but Adam had a fascinating discussion on his "Still Untitled" podcast about recasting. Enjoy!
  5. I was just going to say that. Use the 38mm electrical conduit. that will work best...
  6. OMG, that is my DREAM workspace. I simply can not afford even a "Small" lathe like yours, to say nothing of the milling machine. I am SOOOOO jealous...
  7. Hell, I'll ride in a large doggie crate!
  8. OUTSTANDING!
  9. Actually, as long as you do not add a functional barrel, you can weld them all together in MOST US states. Check your local laws. Here in Virginia I can do that without a problem, as long as I make sure it can not function. In NY, especially the five Boroughs, You have Bloomberg and his anti-gun Nazis to worry about...
  10. I put one in the front side pointed to the eyes, and one behind my ear to circulate air through the helmet. -------------
  11. Thanks Brother!
  12. UPDATES !?!?!?
  13. Andy, Would you be willing to sell these in kit form as well as a fully finished version? I enjoy the process of building these kind of things, and I am handy with tools. You could include the flat metal plate with a template for the holes and such, cylinder components (tubes, caps nuts, screws etc,), resistors/ capacitors, and any other little parts on the full version. I would buy a couple of those, as I am quite sure I can not afford the whole shebang right now...
  14. See it's 34 degrees F here, so no painting for me...
  15. THIS just to start. Wow, this is EPIC!
  16. Ahhh, I did not read past the first post to see you had already ordered the parts...Let me know if I can help in any way Lou!
  17. Here are some additional Measurements and Photos... ------------
  18. I thought AA was verboten here?
  19. I power two squirrel fans with 4AA batteries, and have had very good results. I have had multiple troops from a single set of batteries, and i am now using rechargeable batteries. They are powerful enough to cool me down, and quiet enough for me to hear ok.
  20. Hey Michael. I am really sorry to hear this. I wish you luck, my Brother...
  21. it is downloading now!
  22. Nice looking shop by the way...
  23. That is so funny, I just picked up a cheap torch myself for the same part! I will be posting my WIP soon. I am using a combo of wood, plastic, metal and real gun parts...
