  1. I use a TM helmet with an AM armor. The color difference is almost not noticeable and the helmet is bigger than an ATA and a CAP. Go for TM! Here is a link to my EIB submission: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22825-tk-18793-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-am300/
  2. Welcome to this community! I don't want to sound harsh, but from my understanding of our costuming reference library I would say that there is no way to switch between anh stunt, hero, esb and rotj. Would be weird if there is a trooper with a hero helmet, who has his holster attached at his right side with loops, carries an rotj e-11 blaster, has esb/rotj handguards and wears shoes with a white sole. The point is that we as the 501st are lfl's preferred costuming club concerning imperial costumes and not the "create-your-own-phantastic-trooper-club". No offense intented, but this is a fact. The basic approval allows some changes from screen-accurazy, but no anh/rotj-hybrid e.g. If you really want to create such a trooper it would maybe be better placed on a mannequin ;-) Good luck at reaching your goal!
  3. Got it from a supply store for opticians on the internet here in Germany. But 3M is an international company, so you will probably find them everywhere.
  4. I don't have an AP helmet, nevertheless my glasses do not fit under my TM helmet. What I use is an optical foil from 3M with matching dioptrin I put on the green lens material. Works really nice for me, no messing around with glasses in the helmet, no fear of destroying them while putting the helmet on/off.
  5. Thank you for posting your build thread! Great work and it was a pleasure to read :-)
  6. Looking good so far, but keep in mind, that you wear your boots under the shins.
  7. Looks very good! You did a great job fitting the armor to your shape, also the shins look good. Maybe you could shorten the straps to the shoulder bells to minimize the gap between chest/back and shoulder bells. Also I would recommend you to bring the forearms up to the biceps. If you haven´t already install elastic between those parts or shorten the already existing one. And would it be possible to raise the thighs about 1-2 cm? All in all - very nice
  8. Congrats, Trooper! You earned it. I still miss the FISD group shot at CE II
  9. Very good and clean application! One thing I can add, although beeing just a small EIB: You should replace the male snap at the crotch for a split rivet. Hard to see, but it´s the best shot I found:
  10. You said, that you already found the centurion section. So take a look at the succesfull submissions ( those got a number) and use the photos as a reference for your photographer. Somewhere there was also a thread about "perfect" submission photos.
  11. Good paintjob! It catches the look if you ask me:
  12. Looks good! The only thing that I could add to your list would be to replace the handguards for accurate rubber/latex ones. Your almost there, keep it up
  13. Thank you! Yeah I felt exactly like you. In the beginning you want to be a white shiny new stormtrooper and when you move on you want to become a battle-hardened veteran with all the accurate flaws. Gonna do that with my next armor :-)
  14. Nice! And you can place the snaps for the belt
  15. Congrats! I don´t want to bring you down, but with the AM you will not be able to reach Centurion. At least you would need to change the chest and backplate for more accurate ones. But EIB would be a good start, I was in the same boat, also reached EIB with an AM. Good luck on your way!
  16. Daniel, in fact i simply followed your tutorial on the GG forums http://501st.de/articles.php?article_id=2 no paint runs there Yeah, but in fact I was scarred of overdoing it with my not existing spray-painting skills, so that I stopped when everything was white
  17. If you look at this picture, you migth think that I´m finished: But reality plays its tricks and you end up having these 2 unwanted chippings: So I will need to paint those unwanted chips with RAL 7034...... could be a diffuclt task, but let´s see.
  18. There is no need for reinforcement. Haven´t had any problems with the snaps installed. But if you are afraid of cracks, you could use the CA-glue/T-shirt method. Take an old t-shirt, soak it with superglue and aplly it to the spot you want to reinforce. I like your initiative to improve your suit Keep it up
  19. You can use a hoster like photobucket.com to upload your pictures.
  20. 100 points and one german "Stauder" Pils go to the man from the island Yes it is the Dave M helmet and I wanted to point at this exact picture comparison: Especially this chipping is (in my opinion) nearly a 1:1 copy of the original *imaginary clap on my own shoulder* Paul, will I meet you at CEII? I will be there all 3 days and also at the legion dinner, so if you like we can have a drink together. Cheers
  21. Nobody found out which helmet I tried to recreate ? That´s pretty weak guys, come on, you know it better Quick update shot:
  22. Where is my mead ?! You will not be overseen at CE II with this outfit. Pretty excited to see the horns at your helmet. The sword would be cool, but do you think you will be able to enter the convetion with a full metall weapon (regarding safety aspects)?
  23. Definitely a good start ;-) Very detailed - many new troopers will find it helpful
  24. The typical trooper is dead, he exploded with the first death star and ...oh wait.... yes also with the second one ;-)
