  1. Dudes, you did really some great work and are an example to all of us! "Troopers helping troopers" Thats what it´s all about. I take my hat of to you
  2. Welcome to the ranks, trooper You did an exceptional job at improving your armor! Time to prepare for CEII and maybe afterwards Centurion?
  3. Stephan, I think the question was how you changed it. ( "Wie hast du den 4. Huckel reingemacht oder hast du ein neues Ohr montiert?" in good old german)
  4. Wow. Was Guidon so fast at getting you a new ear or do you live in the Saarland? Looking nice!
  5. Some of my garrison members use an anti-fog spray called "klar-pilot" which is used by firefighters, policemen and NATO-forces. They told me that it worked miracles, but I was never in need for such a spray.
  6. Frank, you do some great research work, really like it! The enthusiasm and thoroughness you show .... amazing. Will be following this thread - might RotJ become a future option for me?
  7. Except for one female snap falling apart of the elastc I haven't had any repairs in 7 troops. And I don't clean the outside of my armor - all scratches and marks are part of the battle damage ;-)
  8. It does not matter if you are right or left handed, cause for ANH Stunt all holsters are attached at the left side Take this as a reference:
  9. Nice changes you did there! Will be an easy pass I think
  10. Always a pleasure to see happy troopers
  11. Vern meant the FX helmet and you mean the NE - two different pair of shoes. At the moment there is no Centurion with a NE helmet, only one with the armor. The 3 piece construction is a disadvantage, yes, but in the end the finished helmet matters and if you do good work and the gap is invisible then who cares if it was a 3 piece. The last instance is the deployment officer of course.
  12. Read you have to, young Padawan --> http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24015-dvh-e-11-blaster-kits-anh-ongoing/
  13. Yeah I can chime in: For ANH stunt approval it is necessary to use flat lenses ( Have a look at the CRL http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt ) There are definitely no approved stunt Centurions with bubble lenses. Believe me: You need to change those lenses for flat lens material The rest is looking good. Although I always start with the outer black lines when painting the details, yours are looking good.
  14. Just got a question: Why did you put (hero) bubble lenses into a stunt helmet?
  15. Today: White paint and chipping I used simple latex milk to cover the areas I wanted to keep khaki - so no need for expensive special color stop stuff. Here is todays result: (The first one who finds out which helmet is recreated with the chipping will be rewarded with a beer at CEII )
  16. Use a hoster like photobucket.com ;-)
  17. Hey Billy! Nice suit you got there! One thing I could add: If it really is like I think it is from looking at your pictures (especially the one below) You need to rework the paint of your teeth. The space between the teeth was not painted gray, it was left white. Take a look yours: I hope it is the shadow that makes the space in between look grey, but if not you need to remove this paint. And the original:
  18. No, this is TM armor. And a very well assembled one, too. Fits you very well Keith! Just the handguards and you are ready for approval/EIB and then maybe Centurion
  19. I got mine from ebay, but you could go to your local automotive store ( AutoTeileUnger e.g. here in Germany) and let them mix RAL 7034 if they don´t have it ready. Probably not the cheapest way. I paid for 400 ml on ebay about 9,50€. And with the red primer...... I was simply to stingy to buy a can of red color for only one microgramm that I need. So I will just hit the inside with a little bit of white color, but the red dust will be missing. Both was present at the originals, so that will not be the apocalypse
  20. What did I drank then when I was in Schruns this year? I´m certain it was a beer with rice starch in it..... doesn´t matter In fact I like all good tasting beers, no matter where they are from .... some Stiegel, Ottakringer, Zipfer or Trumer do the job as well
  21. Thank you Karin! What we have here, we call "Pils" which is real beer, brewed according to the german purity order of 1516 Only water, barley and hops Not your austrian "Spezialbier/Vollbier" where nobody knows what it contains rice starch and so on
