  1. AM does not make replacement parts, thats the crux with them. Maybe start a WTB-thread. It all depends on how the colors match.
  2. The doopydoos kit is a wondeful thing to start with, concerning stormtrooper stuff
  3. Also I would suggest to rotate the biceps with the fingerprint so that it points to your armpit. Maybe try to shorten the shoulder-bell-straps so that they come closer to your shoulder. Did you use the detonator that came with the kit and have you used the silver stripes? These stripes are pretty non-accurate and maybe you remove them and paint the tube gray or look out for some TD-kits from Jesse ;-) Thats how it should look: And I would think about trimming the wings of your chest a little bit, because they are pretty long. Reference: Nice build so far
  4. I´m just curious : Why have you bought a stormtrooper kit with a snowtrooper chest, if you want to do a stormtrooper? Was it that cheap?
  5. What is the question? Concerning what armor?
  6. My advice: Get yourself an armor of a reputable armor maker. You´re from UK and want to get a ANH style armor? I know two pretty awesome armor makers in UK ... *cough* TM and RS Props *cough* Look here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538
  7. I thought the same about the scope rail. But with a proper workbench and this tutorial:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4697&pid=195195&st=0& it´s pretty easy. Believe me, that is the cheaper version.
  8. The belt has been trimmed the wrong way. It is too short. Good luck with the kit. I like your attitude of gaining experience building this cheap recast and then moving to a more accurate and expensive armor.
  9. The armor looks good, funny how the armor for the biggest trooper has been downsized. But I love your wall
  10. This gonna be an easy one. Great TK Heading to Centurion,eh? Move along, move along
  11. Forget it, for 300 bucks you only get crap. It depends on what you want: Do you want to join the 501st or do you just want a halloween costume? If you are really interested in becoming a 501st member, start here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538 A realistic calculation for a legion approved TK doesn´t start under 800 bucks. Remember: You need more than the armor: Undersuit, neckseal, belt, boots, holster, blaster. These items alone are 300 bucks
  12. Why would somebody recast such a miserable helmet?
  13. You need to contact the sellers listed in the link ... show some self-initiative, because 99% of the questions you might want to ask, have already been asked by other people and the answers can be found in this forum. You only have to search for it. I don´t want to discourage you, but it takes time plunge into this issue. So read, read, read. I sense that you want to rush into your armor, but like many of us, who started with this stuff, you have to learn to be patient. You have to make up your mind about what kind of armor you really want. What episode (see http://starwarshelmets.com/)?what material?where to buy?do it yourself? buy an already built one? Take your time, read carefully and when you have any questions after this, just ask them.
  14. The catalogog of the Dreier Collection shows an entire Tour Suit, cast from an original ANH Stunt Suit. That´s what is said in the text beyond. The estimated prize is only 6.000 - 8.000 $. Maybe because it was never worn on screen and was just made for promotion.
  15. It doesn´t make sense to me too, but that is what you´ve got. So there are two possibilities: Take the abs strips with the different shade or use the excess that you can trim of. Depending on how thin you are it could be possible for you to do the job with the excess.
  16. I noticed the same on my AM Kit, it seems that the abs for the coverstrip has a decent red shade, difficult to define, but it is definitely different.
  17. The RS Prop Masters is the most accurate helmet, you can get today, cause it´s been directly cast of an original ANH helmet. Your FX kit is the VW of armors and the RS helmet is the Aston Martin of helmets This helmet is not symmetrical or idealized like your armor and you have to decide whether you are happy with this or not. Also take into account that the color of the FX ABS might not match the helmet.
  18. Okay, nevertheless the method with the eraser works, try it out ;-)
  19. I meant eraser, right did my english teacher misinform me, when he said that both words could be used synonymously?
  20. A tip I received for removing e 6000 is using a simple rubber. I found a white one I used at school and it worked miracles ;-)
  21. So why have you started this topic, if you are not interested in any advice or critic and only listen to your local mate?
