  1. Woohoo! Nice outcome for the rubies armor! More pics and an EIB application ?
  2. Hi Josh! Sorry to say that, but your boots are far from beeing accurate. Real chelsea boots would be much better, cause your seam at the side looks weird and the u-shaped section just doesn´t look right and ends too far up. For your problem I have seen this solution: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/9164-tip-boots-poppin-out-of-the-shin-pieces-my-fix/ Unfortunately you need real chelsea boots for this method. Good luck!
  3. Stay away from these Elvis boots!!! As TKboots are sold out at the moment a good alternative would be to buy black chelsea boots and paint them white, e.g. with angulus.
  4. This is no iron man prop, what do you want to tell me?
  5. Yeah looks like a recaster.... I think there was a similar recaster in the past in denmark. They said: Well, you just buy our ABS and then we allow you to pull your armor from our molds. This way they tried to undergo the armor maker claim, cause they were just selling plastic but 2500 danish kroner for a complete armor kit are round about 330 € so in fact the cheapest kit I have seen so far. B.S. anyway.
  6. Very nice setup! Will be an easy pass, the only thing I would like to mention is that your thighs look way to loose. I would recommend to tighten them. Also your holster is attached to the middle of the belt, altough it should be affixed at the bottom. As I said nothing that keeps you from EIB, but just two tweeks to improve your suit a tad more Good job trooper!
  7. Nice and clean build! This is the dd MK2 DLT-19 right? I believe you need to add the ejection port cover ( or what name this box on the left side of the gun has, the thing with the heavy scratches and metal showing through in the pic) Here you can see Blue Snaggletooth´s solution: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21258-wip-anh-hero-tk-50101-by-movie-fx/page-3
  8. Technically or where to post? Use a hoster like photobucket and post your application , according to the standard-scheme, here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/
  9. Jiiiiiiha! Congrats, you earned it!
  10. Looks very good! The kidney/abdomen overlap on the right side could be reduced a bit, cause you can´t see the Han-snap, but that isn´t a no-go. You´re almost there, will be an easy pass for Cent.
  11. Stop searching on ebay, how old are you?! 12?! Everybody here tells you to go and contact a vetted maker. If you are not willing to follow this advice we can not help you any more. 99% of the ebay listings are crap, I only know MTK who offeres his kit there from time to time.
  12. Your friend is pretty impatient. In Germany we have saying: "Buy cheap and you will buy 2 times" Search for RS Propmasters on google or contact Troopermaster here on FISD. Those are quality vendors.Buying one of these ebay listings is just silly or ignorant imho.
  13. If you ask ATA, he can pull you hero ears without extra charge.
  14. I´m just doing the helmet, in fact my head doesn´t fit in it, so it will stay a display piece. A Master Chief armor would be awesome, but I believe that building it will be a thousand times harder than a good TK... And: With whom should I troop then ?!
  15. Hey troopers! I got a new beauty sitting on my shelf: it´s a Halo 4 Master Chief helmet I acquired from echo on the rpf. Amazingly detailed cast I can tell you. Startet to dremel today and will continue with filling and sanding in the evening. A friend of mine will do the paintjob for me, cause my skills really su*k. But see for yourselves: Cheers!
  16. Welcome Tehya! Both advice given before are very valuable. If you are on a budget and need time to gather your funds, I would recommend ATA armor to you. The wait time is around 9 months and it is the kit with the best price-performance ratio. Your height will be no problem, how absout your other proportions? Ingrid aka Ladyinwhite will be big help to you when it comes to modify armor for females. Good luck on your way!
  17. I like this idea of a SOP for reviewing applications. Should all members who comment on an application use this patterm or only the DO?
  18. Woooohooo!!!! Great job!!! Building a Halo 4 helmet atm, so thisbis great!
  19. ?!!!! What do you think ? $130 for the whole armor - welcome to paradise! No, just the HELMET KIT
  20. $240 is pretty much for this helmet. I don´t know the maker, but the mic tips are horrible and wrong, Looks like he used cheap decals for the details, e.g. the tube stripes are much too thick, the tear and trap stripes are to short and small. The vocoder is painted like sh*t. Hm. What do you want it for? Just a display, or do you want something to troop with and get yourself an armor? If you want to do that, I would recommend you to buy armor and helmet together - no color difference for sure. For round about $130 you get an ATA kit and can build it to your own wishes, and you can do the job much better than the builder did with this one. Good luck!
  21. Pics always help to give constructive advice ;-)
  22. Man, that is possible in this hobby. No helmet looks exactely like another one. The differences can be found in height of the brow, attachement of the ears, seam at the eyes, paint job, etc. Good armor makers will ask you if you want the recreation of a specific helmet and well informed buyers ask for this service. Nevertheless I think that this communication problem is very sad and you should have been informed about not beeing able to return the product before you paid for it.
  23. Pass an Halloween bitte auf! Viele Menschen wissen das investierte Geld und die Liebe zum Detail nicht zu schätzen...
  24. Hi David! In fact nowhere is written that you need to use an ANH helmet as a base, at least I haven´t found that information. I thought it was unwritten law, because the helmet has the handpainted ANH details, flat lenses, grey frown, etc. Also all TKC EIB and Centurion requests always had an ANH helmet, you are the first one I know who does it with an RotJ. Except for the softer lines the difference to an ANH is not that visible, so if you want to do an ANH-style RotJ lid, feel free to do so. Your cut out number of teeths looks good. After all this is a costume, that is based on video game and most ingame pictures lack detail. The requirements for the 501st are according to this up to a certain level "random". I think, if the armor and helmet look in the end "right" and appropriate then the GMO will have an easy decision.
  25. You want to build a TKC, right? And this is the CFO RotJ bucket, right? If this is the case than you use the wrong helmet as a base. The TKC should have an ANH bucket. Nevertheless I like Mark´s helmet, so lets see how this goes. Have fun
