Yes this is AP armor, but not a good build. Massive modification will be required to get it approved (remove most of the velrco that was used for the thighs, shins don't look good, etc.) the boots are horrible, non approvable Elvis boots, the blaster needs modification... If you ask me I recommend to build your own set of armor as there are comparable, cheaper kits out there ATA/ T/MC /MTK etc.

MTK Stormtrooper Sandtrooper Armor Star Wars Costume Prop
Minuteman replied to Haribon72's topic in eBay Armor
Hm, 6´4´´, so round about 1,94m. is pretty tall. I would say, that it is possible, but it´s up to you if it satisfies you. Here a link of a 6´1´´ build of ATA armor (comparable in size to MTK): http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25286-fitting-problems-ata/?hl=%2Bata+%2Btall Here an EIB applicatio of a 6´2´´ Trooper: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23808-tk-62280-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-ata319/?hl=%2Bata+%2Btall#entry303807 Another of a 6´3´´ Trooper: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21040-tk-5733-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status255ata/ Remember that the screen-used suits were made for skinny british actors from 5´9´´ to 5´10´´ (1,75-1,78m). MTK is a second/third/fourth (actually I don´t really know) cast of RotJ armor (which is again casted from ANH armor), so is propably slightly smaller than the original armor..... It is your decision, mostly everything can be made wearable, but for your case.... I´ve heard that TM does some fine enlarged thighs, that would suit your height well. Maybe contact him ;-) -
Altough I might not belong to your target group, this thread could be great inspiration to tackle your point: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/10978-trooper-fit-club/ I believe that everybody should be able to feel comfortable in his own skin. If this isn´t the case then change something about your life. At the moment I´m in the process of loosing some weight too, this training concept helped me a lot: http://www.freeletics.com/en You can do it trooper! No excuses

Ask troopermaster.... or look here, but I got no clue if this is still available:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14126-fs-hero-upgrade-kit-18/

Very nice helmet! Especially the low brow will look bada**! The only thing I see is that you could extend the painting of the tear detail a little more to the ridges. It looks kind of lost and too small. I'll keep an eye in this build ;-)

[Help] Stormtrooper helmet Kit -Screen accurate on Ebay
Minuteman replied to Pumpkins's topic in eBay Armor
yes, my fault, I know, that the Mac helmet is a sandtrooper in these pics. I was not precise enough, I didn´t meant the tear stripes, I meant the slight "bump" in the tear detail that is visible on a RS or TM helmet, but not visible on TE-lineage helmets cause TE (Matt Gauthier) removed this detail (or wasn´t able to cast it). This is one of the easy tells to make out an unaltered TE-lineage helmet from a first gen/proper cast. Here a pic of my TM, in the red circle you can see this impression/bump. If you got one in hand feeling is better than seeing it. And here a pic of an ATA (TE-lineage) which is missing this detail/bump/impression: Cheers! -

Yeaha! Thank you, very interesting pics.
At least wie can say that it's not a RS recast. Also no tear detail, strange cap'n'back with a really strange round bump in the top...

Gesendet von meinem XT1032 mit Tapatalk

-

Hey postie! Nice TD helmet you got there! Would you be willing to give us a side by side comparison of an RS helmet to the Mac one? Would be cool to see and as you posses both... :-)
Thanks man! -
I built an ATA and this looks good to me. Do it If you´re not happy with the result you can sand it to your specs

Hey Mac! Nice to see, that you answered to the recast claim. Although you don't want to sell on these boards, would you be willing to show us some photos of your original helmet? On the one hand, cause every new photo of an original helmet can be a great rescource for new builds, on the other hand you could give your claim more weight. Hope you decide to work with us in this point.Cheers! Gesendet von meinem XT1032 mit Tapatalk -

Advice with strapping systems
Minuteman replied to valo's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
In fact for Centurion the inner strapping is irrelevant. The armor needs to fit and all visible parts (from the outside) must be seen, e.g. side rivets on the left side, han snap on the right, crotch rivet and butt plate snaps. The rest is open to your own mind, you can go for accuracy, do the "standard" snap plate construction or some kind of experimental harness. Good luck for your build trooper! -

[Help] Stormtrooper helmet Kit -Screen accurate on Ebay
Minuteman replied to Pumpkins's topic in eBay Armor
You say, that non of those helmets are your price range? Ask ATA ( mail-adress in the post), he does very affordable kits or scootchs CAP kits offered here on these boards. I built both kits, really a pleasure, and if you do not want to spend the amount of money needed for them.... well then probably this is the wrong hobby for you ?! No offense meant, but it´s fact that this is an expensive hobby. I can not say it often enough: Stay away from ebay, 80 % are crap and recast, 10 % are just crap, 5 % are decent but recast (and thus should not be bought) and 5 % are from vetted makers like CFO, TM (very rare on ebay) or MTK. So, ATA and CAP for you all the way. Good luck trooper! -
Good work so far! Don't worry about the dull cap, nothing that could not be polished with novus. One thing I don't get: why do you want to paint the inside black? It has no advantages, if you use a proper neckseal and wear the helmet correctly nobody will see your eyes. In the film NO helmet was painted black, but so many troopers Form the US do this. Weird thing. Gesendet von meinem XT1032 mit Tapatalk

Imho: Sell this suit on eBay and buy a proper kit of one of our vetted armor makers. Really, I know it's hard to realize when you bought it and you think " man, I got real stormtrooper armor in my hands" but this armor is bullsh*t. The helmet is so wrong that you propably can not fix it and the rest of the suit is a recast of FX armor which is long outdated. You really want to accept the challenge and build this suit, invest much more time than for a vetted kit and receive in the end only a bad looking result which won't be a pleasure to troop in? look for ATA,AP,T/MC,MTK,NE or in the UK for TM or RS. Believe me: You will be more satisfied with the result. Good luck on your way, you will make a good decision. Gesendet von meinem XT1032 mit Tapatalk

What I have heard so far is that hdpe is some nasty plastic to pull and not very forgiving, only very flexible and durable in the end. Gesendet von meinem XT1032 mit Tapatalk
