  1. * double post deleted....
  2. Okay, sorry for the confusion, now I get your point
  3. Thats real enthusiasm! If my 501st approval will be accepted, maybe I can earn no. 300. Let´s see
  4. Are you this seller, trying to restore your reputation? Have you seen his progress, e.g in a blog, watched the progress in his workshop? Have you got any proof of this beeing a first gen cast? Then show us the pics of his "original" suit. I'm trying to imply, that you try to defend a recaster. But that wont work At least not without proof
  5. Submitted my application 2 minutes ago...... Wish me luck
  6. Nice try
  7. Hi Randy! I think I speak for most members, when I say: We really don´t need another AA discussion, sorry. It seems that you lack some information about the whole AA case, maybe you can start here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/13614-anh-stormtrooper-helmet-and-armour-just-the-facts/page__hl__ainsworth__fromsearch__1 You can also have a look at the recast discussion section on this board. The quality might not be the problem, but the origin of his mold are. Good luck on your research
  8. This armor deserves nothing else than Centurion
  9. The armor is 99% ready for my application.......... the only thing that is missing is the holster, which I only need to attach, but need to get some cap rivets for that. Next week a fellow TK comes over to me and does the application photos, so the pics you see here were only created out of my huge impatience. I used a stand for the camera, which did not work very well, so please excuse the crappy quality, the wrong angle and the "missing" boots. ( believe me: they are there!) So here they come: "To be TK, or not to be TK, that is the question" Thank you guys, the community here is awesome
  10. Sorry, but it is not that easy to make out the armor in these pictures. With the dark background and your action shots I can't see many details. Maybe you do some new pictures according to the EIB application. You know : front, back, sides with raised arms snd some other details you find nice to be mentioned. And I would suggest doing this in a better enlightened room
  11. Mick, have a look at doopydoos http://www.doopydoos.com/index.asp They produce a great E-11 kit with almost everything included. An alternative is the new kit from Darth Voorheese http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22600-dvh-e-11-blaster-kit-anh/. But dd´s advantage for you would be that you don´t need to pay the custom fees for importing the kit from the US. Although some folks from the US had some issues with dd´s reliability in the past, when I ordered my kit one year ago the service was very good, shipping fast and the product was great.
  12. 235 pounds in screen accurate armor without shimming - probably impossible. Keep in mind, that the actors in ANH were pretty skinny The easiest way to get some information about the armor would be to contact Tray directly, look here : http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ A good alternative for bigger troopers is RT-MOD.
  13. I need to confess, that I like them how they are at the moment The "wonkyness" is intended, for a more screen accurate look, emulating handpainted stripes. I would say: Go with them, good work.
  14. The distance between the front tube stripes is not correct.... I would redo those. Just look at some screen grabs and enlarge the distance.
  15. Nice idea, i´ll try that later
  16. With your screen-accurate height, your good to go for most (if not all) screen accurate armors. For example, RS,TM, ATA, AP,T/MC, etc. The problem might be your abdominal girth. Keep in mind, that the actors were pretty skinny, so that you maybe need to shim at the sides of the abdomen Man, believe me: you don´t want to get yourself an AM ( also the old AM is not produced at the moment, cause they are working on new molds) I got one, and I´m 6´00 and also about 170 lbs. It would have been much easier for me to buy a screen accurate armor, cause many parts of the AM are so extended, that you need to trim it extensively to your height. Especially the chest and back piece will need much trimming, then you want to create a new return edge with an heat sealing iron, and in the end it is still to big..... To much work for a not screen accurate armor. But hey, we all build our armor and in the end, find something that we might have changed if we only knew it before Have fun with your build, regardless which armor you choose
  17. That really sounds like good costumer service Can´t wait to see the new pics
  18. Man, bubble lenses are not that difficult to get ahold of: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14126-fs-hero-upgrade-kit-18/ Although Guidon might have them too. You need to decide which version you want to do. A good idea is to go to http://starwarshelmets.com/original-stormtrooper-helmets-sub-submenu.htm and choose
  19. Some armor makers offer single parts. For example ATA, RT-MOD and some others (contact here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ ) But I don´t now if they exactly fit to this recast. Maybe it´ll need a little work.
  20. The substance of the armor is not bad. I would keep it, but get yourself a new right shin. If things are coming apart now, I would use E 6000 to glue them together. Do you have the three cover buttons for the belt? You suggested, that you want to paint the helmet details, which is good. Before you do so, cut out the fourth teeth and paint it. Make sure that you got flat lenses in it. ---> (stunt right, hero left) In fact you don´t need a full work shop to build your armor all alone.... just E-6000, clamps, a hobby knife, painters tape, paint, maybe lexan scissors, elastic and press buttons. As the armor is built at the moment, plus the suggested changes, you will probably get approved, although you might need to do some changes to get EIB or Centurion status. The last instance there is your GMO, you will join the German Garrison, I think?
  21. What kind of armor is this? I ask cause the details look pretty soft.
  22. Also your thigh ammo belt is riveted in the wrong place, which is a shame, cause there is a impression at the right spot, see here:
  23. Hi Dan! Have fun with your build, sorry to see that the armor is already built together by Guidon..... it would have been really fun to do that yourself, plus now the armor is glued together with hot glue, E-6000 would have been stronger and better removable.... but thats how it is. Your helmet is.... strange. The 3 teeth indicate a hero , but three screws per ear indicate a stunt helmet (And have you got flat lenses or bubble lenses?). You got a hermaphrodite there I would think about cutting the 4 th teeth and painting it too, so that you got a full stunt helmet. And please get yourself a new set of mic tips, those are horrible Handpainting the helmet is a great idea The connection if the shoulder bells is not pretty accurate, I would recommend searching for some reference on this forum, look into other build threads and you will find better alternatives. What about the ab buttons? Are they all black? Here is how they should be painted: http://www.whitearmo...eference-guide/ Also your armor was build using the overlap method..... again not pretty accurate, using the butt-join-method would have been better, look here ( example here: the thighs): http://www.whitearmo...h-cover-strips/ Are you able to remove the hot glue residue at the right shin? If not ask for a new shin. I´ll keep watching this thread, good luck with the armor
  24. Good idea, thank you Travis! Is that thick wire you used there? And what are these endcaps made of?
