  1. Count me in for the TCB'n!
  2. Did you guys notice a higher headroom before feedback with the Radioshack mic? I have to keep my Aker inside my back plate in order to get any volume out of it without squeal.
  3. Matt, what mic did you choose?
  4. Awards on the side are detachment-specific. You can customize your signature however you want, but the badges here are FISD-determined.
  5. Nice paint job. Flamethrower looks good as well. I really like your ammo pouch. Did you make that?
  6. So what do you guys think about the shoulder bells? Are these supposed to be ROTJ-style bells, or are they intended to ride up above the shoulder?
  7. Good quality. Overall good customer service, but they can be touchy. One of the best.
  8. email sent Paul.
  9. Thanks. Your threads were a lot of help.
  10. I haven't posted to the gallery, but I have an Incinerator.
  11. I'm intrigued Paul...
  12. Congratulations Keith. Solid perseverance and great looking TK.
  13. this guy is a goober, to be sure; however, he is also kind of awesome. The dude makes all kinds of costumes and props for less than the cost of movie popcorn. He seems to be having fun. His Predator vs Stormtrooper movie is one of the more distrubingly-fun things on the Youtube.
  14. I have a pair of Trooperbay's hand guards on my ICN. I also have a pair of Karin's. The Trooperbay guards are larger. In fact, they are closer insize to FX hand guards. I had to trim them down in order to successfully glue them to my chemical gloves. I buy stuff from Trooperbay like once a week it seems, but for the hand guards, Karin's are better IMHO.
  15. thanks everyone. I'm really proud of this armor, and appreciate the encouragement.
  16. Such excellent work. I look forward to seeing you make Centurion as well Brent and can't wait to see this in person.
  17. I couldn't have done it without your help Paul. I'd offer to host a space for a Centurion party, but with 3 kids, 25 guitars, tons of gear, drums, 3 cellos, and 9 costumes... have you seen Hoarders?
  18. congratulations. Nice work indeed.
  19. As for the hair, that makes sense. Of course, The space trooper wearing the balaclava is Joe Johnston. Joe didn't have long hair. In fact, he is the balaclava navy trooper next to the gunner in the blue screen shot seen I posted above.
  20. It could be that the space trooper was sporting the balaclava because that's what astronauts and cosmonauts wore. Although it more likely serves a practical purpose. Weren't shots like that part of the blue-screen post-production work done in California? I believe most of the other photos we have of troopers without helmets are either on set in London or on location. I know that the IG doing blue-screen work also was balaclava-clad:
  21. Thanks. I hit it with a sanding sponge, then brushed some charcoal-colored fuller's dirt into the scruffs, then dry-wiped the excess. I took a rough-grit sanding sponge to the red paint while it was still somewhat soft to create the flaking. The helmet is painted HIPS, so the worn spots are exactly that: the color of the HIPS showing through after some more concentrated sanding, then accented with the fuller's dirt. I then spray it with Modge-Podge to keep everything in and my fingers clean.
  22. I took your suggestion and moved the sniper plate, and I'm much happier with it (the finger is healing). I also tried to tighten-up the shin armor like you recommended, but any tighter and they simply wouldn't close around my odd calves. I'll keep my eyes open for some reasonable upgrades. Thanks for the approval. I am proud to be among your ranks, and according to Daetrin, I'm the first Centurion out of Garrison Titan.
  23. Thanks. That was very well-behaved.
