I was ready. At least I think I was. I was waiting on getting my TK number before submitting. Now, I'm waiting for 501st access, and then I will post my EIB submission.

[Sold][For Auction] Complete MTK ESB Helmet for JDRF
YouCantBe Sidious replied to Daetrin's topic in Off Topic
My fiance's nephew has childhood diabetes. Put me in for $225. -
Thanks Mason! I actually usued the overlap method on the back sides of my shins. The molded strip, being on the inside, so they are facing the correct way, but I can easily remove the molded strip and use that as my cover strip. I left that as an open option, and seeing that my velcro was stuck on using E6000, all I need to do is apply a bit of heat and/or pressure to pull the existing velcro off. Easy fix... Good luch Glitch! I'm hopefully right behind you!

Motorcycle Gear

Here's me today on my Spyder! Happy Christmas! (Couldn't sit down all the way... Amost, but I think I'll stick to proper motorcycle gear for that) ------------ -
In regards to the 3rd rivet being hidden, and I'm not trying to be picky, as I would like to just be 501st approved when I have all this together (going for EIB or Centurion would rock, but I'll let the powers that be decide that), and I'm not trying to argue a point, BUT... The CRL says this and nothing about the 3rd (bottom) rivet being hidden: (unless I am missing where it specifies it and I just cust and pasted this before reading that bit) Abdomen Plate The ab plate has a button area that matches the color pattern shown (3 blue + 6 gray); buttons are approximately 7/16" in diameter. Any gap between the ab and kidney plate shall be no more than 1/2" wide. Any shims used to achieve this effect should be of a similar material and color as the ab and kidney plate. Shims shall fit flush and seams are allowed . Ideally there should be no gap between the ab and kidney plates, just a single visible seam line. Rivets on the left side of the ab plate: a total of three rivets equally spaced out along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. They may be painted white, or not. A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate shall be present. A single split rivet or brad shall be present on the crotch tab of the ab plate. It does not need to be functional.

Snaps, Rivets, Belt, etc...
YouCantBe Sidious replied to YouCantBe Sidious's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Thank you very much! Wasn't really getting what I wanted on the searched! I'll study this tonight and give it ago. My Am kit is trimmed and ready to be strapped, so it's the last thing from me being ready! -

Cool! I'll have to do the same... Kit is almost finished! -
I've done a lot of searching and it seems that any posts that may be helpful, are missing images. Are there tutorials about attaching the belt and where the rivets and snaps should go (measurements, pics, etc?) that include rivet and snap sizes, etc? Do you drill a hole the size of the snap head (for lack of a better term) through the ab piece to allow the snap to connect to the belt? I've not worked at all with snaps or rivets before and while I have the tools now, I'm still failing a bit on my test bits of material to get it right. With the plastic armor, is it always necessary to use a washer on the far side of the rivet for it to grip? if so, do most hardware stores that carry the rivets also sell washers that match the rivet size? 1/8 rivets are to be used on knee plate? What bout for the holster?

Dan, seeing a Trooper on a white Hyabusa would definitely be an attention getter! That would rule! -

Well, this would complete the job, but you'd have to rob a bank or win the lottery to be able to afford the whole kit: --------- -

That's a crazy looking ride! I have a solid black Can-Am Spyder and was thinking the Stormtrooper leathers would look killer on that. The guy that custom paints my band's guitars could probably do a stellar helmet paint job to match!!! -

$1300 for jacket, pants, boots and gloves, I believe. That's what the other kits are pricing at. You're in Dallas too, right? -
Woah! Not sure if this has been posted before, but as a motorcycle rider, this looks cool!----------
