  1. I am fairly confident this may be the same armour I have judging by this thigh. The other wonky thing about these thighs is that if you put them together "as is" you will end up with what basically looks like a straight tube. If you want a nice tapered look you will need to do some significant cutting/modification as I did. These thighs were without a doubt the hardest part of my build. Not the greatest shots, but may be helpful...
  2. The description claims there is a spot for a battery pack.
  3. I've always wondered about these helmet liners...don't they make it super hot inside?
  4. Here's mine...the snaps above the dropboxes are attached to the plastic ammo belt. I just used a piece of velcro in the middle. The two upper snaps connect to the ab plate.
  5. Hey Dash, Where did you score the crosshairs for the scope?...I'd like to add one to my E-11.
  6. How about a storage pocket inside the holster?
  7. TKBoots are top notch, product and service.
  8. This is one of the better ones I have seen... -----
  9. It's a bit difficult to tell from the photos but it looks like you just have a single screw through the middle of the ear, if this is an ANH stunt you should have three screws, if Hero then two (judging by what I can see for teeth this may be a Hero). Also, again hard to tell from this photo, but it looks as though you could lower those ears slightly which would allow it to wrap around the tube better. You'll also want to work more on those teeth cutouts. Make sure you take a look through the build threads as well.
  10. That base is great! How did you carve it, some sort of router? Would love to make a helmet stand with a base like this.
  11. You are exactly right Craig. Even the most accurate armour if not built right and fitted correctly is not considered approved.
  12. And it's exactly someone uninitiated with a place like FISD that won't know the difference and get screwed. I was one of those and ended up getting armour from Ebay and immediately realised the lid was horrible and it was missing a thigh piece. Thankfully, the chap I was dealing with in the UK was actually an honourable guy and although it took a couple of months due to shipping issues and such I did receive a new set of thighs with no charge at all. ps - I should point out it was NOT this guy.
  13. Sorry Pat, I thought sure with your sense of humour you were making a joke about someone being disappointed about not getting FX armour but something that actually looked better.
  14. I dont think anyone got your joke Pat
  15. Looks like you got a bonus TD tube. I have a VT lid and it looks great.
  16. The amount of talent and ingenuity in this group never ceases to amaze me. Nice work, both Chris and Jesse.
  17. Yes, I used white rivets, but they do look a bit dark in that photo...think I will hit them with some flat paint as well to tone down the shine. Agree on the dropboxes, one of the tweaks I plan on making.
  18. Update.....I went ahead and contacted my GML, submitted all my initial photos, submitted application and...I AM IN!!!!! Just awaiting notification on my TKid.
  19. Thanks Pat, can always count on you for some tough love.
  20. Coming from you two that is high praise...thanks guys!
  21. So, I am pretty confident that I am ready for my submission to 501st for my TKid. Did a dress rehearsal tonight and took this shot. Will hopefully take my submission photos tomorrow.....wish me luck!
