I have to agree. You would think that there was only one shade of white, but there are hundreds and it stands out when two different shades are together. You might get lucky and they will closely or even completely match, but it's not a common occurrence.

I think a lot of us try to be economical when developing our builds, sometimes by choice, often by necessity. One thing I did not want to go cheap on was the boots. Being on your feet all day or marching in a parade can be taxing on the feet, so it makes sense to treat your feet well with good fitting and comfortable boots. Mine are white leather like most and I have found that using good old fashioned white boot polish not only removes scuffs, but also keeps the leather soft and well maintained. Put the polish on, rub it in and buff. Also, I let my boots air out after a days troop, just to try preventing stink. So far, so good. TK Boots come with shoe bags and I use them anytime the boots are not on my feet or airing out. I hope this helps.

I have an Anovos TK and now that I've done a few troops AND had a chance to inspect armor of other makers, I think the Anovos stuff is not bad. I did a lot of extra work to try and get as much life out of the armor as possible, but I also realize it won't last forever if I am wearing it and trooping. I have one minor crack that I caused myself, but otherwise things are holding up well. I feel the kit was not real hard to assemble, but I didn't use the Anovos instructions either. I did a lot of research and read other builds before I even began trimming. I would probably buy from them again, as long as I was not in a hurry for the kit.
