Cool if that is the sentiment... however... Here is the thread... here is the chance to get all in the open. However, if nothing comes of it than nobody has a right to come at the guy ever again. I mean, if the drama is over, then I hope its over. Here is a great thread to point future accusations to if they happen.

Ill wear the black hat. All the accusations and not a thread started. So... First off, I have read the other thread, and I thought off the bat that 4510 had a CAP helmet. However... I did not know he was thought to be VT. I have some members here in Japan with VT stuff... its OK...acceptable but I could tell its AP recast. Some of the pulls are lopsided here... the helmet in general and the armor is kinda soft in detail... but better than FX... My take... If its really 4510, on one hand I could give a rip. We go back a long time and have done many a deal for troopers, charity and costumes in the past. His talent is way up there in assembly and teaching. I would hate to have a good mans name drug in the mud for no real reason. I have been a staunch supporter of those that make armor available to troopers and a supporter of Fan made armor. AP is on the boards and as I recall has never allowed casts of his suit nor his helmet openly. CAP did, but CAP cast TE in a back alley post cast deal that TE played up to CAP. Take that or leave it, its why we have CAP W and ATA. I support both as I supported CAP at the time. On the other... it would not look good to be playing both sides to the middle. Who is VT, how did he come into play and if you are here Mr. VT... please stand up. Straight at the accusation... Bro if you are VT, really man, with the current market and care of the community for the CAP line, it seems to be accepted. Cast CAP original and leave VT behind. It was a means to an ends at the time you did it. I give not two pennies about recasting those that screwed the community and TE did just that. I am a recaster as well by the definition. Some will hate me for it outright, but I cast JB... and if any one did the history on that guy he makes TE look like a saint. JB stole thousands. Still people will complain and tell me I took a low road... I knew that off the bat and can deal with it. I am who I am. Mikes current helmet looks good in the shots, and we have not seen the armor. This is (in the last few years anyway) a community that knows what is what, and I really hope that VT doesn't become new 4510. AP is still around... I just hope that truth is told, and the community can have another armor worth getting. Not another mellow drama in the saga of " As the plastic burns".

Smitty, I look at your avatar... and I so want to buy you a beer man. We gotta troop man, we gotta troop. Thanks for that write up. I was a snipe, you were a nuke. Good to hear from a source I can trust bro. We are very far away, in Sasebo, but again... depending on what or how things unfold... We are positive here, keeping the faith. Ya know, it really makes you look around and take stock and thank God for every breath.

We wont in the area here have fallout.. well as of yet. That depends on the wind I guess. God bless the Fukushima 50 that have stayed. They are true heros. I am tearing up thinking about it now. God bless them. God bless them. Rescue crews have arrived. The military is helping as much as they can. Its such a task. We have started to organize relief, and I am heading up a drive for diapers, food rations and blankets. We are to take them to a close city here and they will transport them to the North. So far, some of the bases have started to ration gas, and I think we will too soon. Power is stable, but we are asked to conserve to avoid a sceduled blackout session. I fear however gas prices will spike here soon. Kerosene soon as well. We will be impacted... Indirectly. really, I think it will be a world wide impact. While I do not fear the plant and the radiation, it is a concern. Nothing like in Russia, that was old tech. This is different... bad, but different. A print was just made availible... Not sure on the artist, but it supports the right cause. If you all can, please... A few dollars goes a long way. Troopers helping Japan It will be a while before all is well here again... but it will happen. I have faith that God will see us all through.

Things are alearted here, but calm. Seems that we have a chance, 70% in the next 3 days for a 7.0 or bigger. Then the next 96 50% of a 7.0. There are planned blackouts for the next month or more possibly to conserve energy as 5 plants are off line. 1/3 of Japan in Nuke. So... we may be affected. Travel is sketchy north, but OK here in Kyushu. I can say... STUPID AMERICAN NEWS stations... GO AWAY! The Japanese are reporting things that we need, not the crap that causes panic. Leave it to the stupid americans. Anderson Cooper.. You Chicken shucks! Living here, that punk is on a hill top on a farm far away "reporting" from the "middle" of the "Action". Really, its bad here, but it will be handled. There may be as many as 100,000 souls lost. There are whole towns that have been lost. Its creepy. Keep Japan in Prayer.

So far some of our Garrison is responding as Cell service is being restored. The airlines are shut down, people are still walking home as the trains are down, and power is out for many in the Tokyo area. In my 11 years here... Never have I seen this. I am very worried about our northern troopers. We have many in that area. I am in the south west, so we felt nothing. Its strange that something this large on a place this small and nothing.. but really, its all very local to the north. Thank God Japan is one of the best places to be for earthquakes. Keep those that are still in need in prayer.

I think you should specify Humbrol colors for the buttons. If you are picking out rivets, there has to be a source posted on them. Willy nilly rivets and buttons are could kill a costume. What bugs me the most... A scuffed up helmet... and a clean suit. While I know that the real helmet was a different plastic than the suit, (at least that is what I remember) it just throws it all off to me. Looking at this shot... you can see scuffs in the armor. I am sure that it was not intended to be picked apart some 30 years later... but hey... we do this kinda thing. If the suits are not matched to the helmet it just looks like a bad helmet paint job. -

Interesting section yall! Digging on it. I could share a little here as well. I am still working out all the kinks, but have finally found a meathod of making stuff that I like. I have been at it for two years, slowly building up my skill. I started making lenses and plaques, and had a long run of those. I have now moved on into Vader stuff, learning fibeglass and resin casting along the way. Its a PITA to start up, that I can relate. Expensive as well. I have tossed far more than I have ever sent out. I am getting far better, and I am a perfectionist and look to send out the best possible. Currently only one has gotten a helmet from me and at this time I still am painting it up. I am set of offer up soon, and have built a pretty good armory of parts I can make for Vader. I have the molds from the Fett Pride ROTS shins, Chest boxes ANH/ESB/ROTJ scratch builds, Armor and Helmet for ESB/ROTJ based on 20th C stuff... Getting there. I will show some tricks that I have learned along the way, maybe insprireing a few to look in to this side of the hobby. I have no interest in Vac... Just to much room it takes up. But I can show basic mold making and casting if you all want. I have interesting ideas for displays that I am sure you all could mimic or do at home. I can share a few of those as well.

Interesting... Ill give her a shout..

YES! Thank you for that insight! I am also thinking that a Vlog may be the way to go. Thank you! Oh I have ideas spinning in my head now...

So what makes a good podcast? I agree the 501st cast is a tad dry... That is why I like the Forcecast better. They mix it up. How does a costume based podcast sound? What ideas and topics would be cool?
-
Before I go forward with my own podcast... How many of you all listen to them? If you do, what do you listen to? If you don't... what would you listen to? What would you like to see? Currently I subscribe to... In the order I like them most... 1. The Forcecast 2. Stuff you should know 3. Stuff they don't want you to know 4. 501st Cast To be honest, I don't listen to the 501st cast all that often. The RPF just started a vlog, (Video blog) with Lammberry, a member of the RPF. She is on youtube. Is something like that format better? I love the idea of a podcast/webcast. First off, its free. Free to do, free to subscribe to. Second, its easy to use. I listen while I am at work. Its talk radio, but with out the restrictions. Down side its time consuming to do. I am looking at bi-weekly at the most for now. Oh, and this will be a download only.. no streaming... Fire away. What opinion do you have?

Aww shucks... Thanks yall! Ill do that. New guy from Japan huh?

I am back yall. I will be stopping in more often. Been a while huh? My focus on costuming has taken me to Vader, so I am less TK now. Also, last time I got in armor, well... I look like poo in white plastic. I have been loosing weight. Plus... I had to take a break. I wiped my self out. First off, If I do owe anyone anything.... PM me now. Shipping for me has been a nightmare. I have had to pretty much stop all large runs of things. It sucks when a good intention is lost to delays. So... I am a very limited prop maker and have really had to step back. I lost my butt on shipping and that hurts when your dollar is only worth .80 cents. So, if anyone is still out something, let me know. On to better news. Third little one is on the way! The wife and I are expecting, so I am a little tied up in that as well. I am almost done with my Junior year in college and have received a promotion at work. Still doing the band, large Christmas showing for the Gospel group I am in. Just got back from Tokyo this weekend, 10th anniversary for the Garrison. GO JG! Still been making covers on the Docomo Promo here, they get good milage out of that photo shoot! Doing Make a Wish in May, 5K run in Vader. Cant wait. Anyhoo, I am around again. Missed yall... ---------

TDH has shared every detail on the Fett. Why can we not? Buy it now mentality. The trooper is so soiled from so many in the past. Many on the TDH built and shared. Not so in Trooper land. It was a secret thing from the outset. At least from what I have read and been around for. It was only recently that armor was even available , Like it or not, in mass. TM has his reasons. While this thread is not about TM, but its is in a way as its on the heels of the other thread I just read through. Gino is good at info keeping among many others. Just saying. I agree that he did the research and its his info. Now, should you dangle a carrot and stick your tongue out? No.. but if its looked at from this point of view... If he found it, so can you. There still around. I research Vader. I am so looking for the REAL glove for ESB. Its hard, frustration tweeking, boring info digging. But I keep going. 2 years now. Its a posable thing that I may not want to share for so many will jump on the band wagon to just sell it. Ebay mentality. Now... that said. If I do fine them, I will post pics. That in and of itself will help those that REALLY want to dig. One stop shop PM me and just get the info? No. Stop the search take my toys and go home? No. How bad do you need this info? Are you going to really tell at a troop the real part VS the repo? Would I take my Pugman blaster to a troop for accuracy? Hell no. Hyperfirm. Is this worth the fight? I think it may be moot soon as Blue ray is coming. Build and find may be far easier for accuracy buffs.

Original trooper boots
Runnriottt replied to troopermaster's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Ya know... Its sad to see things head this way. Its a movie. Its plastic armor. Its a found part and a boot that yes, is cool to have found and such.. but its a boot. Is it worth the fight? Really? -
Hi guys. Apparently I need three different official sources of pictures for my heavy weapons trooper. Have any of you got anything other than the game stills? Preferably with a BFG not a bazooka. Why? The HWT as far as I knew is an official costume that your GML can look up in the Data base. The HWT is an EU, as its only a game and book reference. I guess a little more info from you may help a tad.
